“It’s all right. I understand.”
Was that a flash of disappointment in his face? Oh shit.
“I don’t . . . are you upset with me?” she asked.
His eyes widened. “No, baby. Never.”
“You shouldn’t say never . . . I’m certain it will happen at some stage.”
“You’d only upset me if you were in pain or danger or putting yourself at risk and didn’t tell me or ask for help. And then I’d be upset because I would be worried. Not mad. Okay?”
How was he so perfect?
She was in such trouble.

“I’ll get you some painkillers.” He drew some out of his medical bag and shook two pills out of a bottle, handing them to her before getting her drink bottle.
She stared up at him from under the blanket. Only her eyes were visible. She really seemed to settle under the weight of the blanket.
He wondered how she would feel if she was under him.
Fuck. He really needed some space.
“Thanks.” She took them and he placed her water bottle on the floor.
“I should go out and get us some food.”
“No, please don’t leave me. Please.” Her panic was clear and he immediately moved over to crouch next to her.
“Hey, it’s all right. I won’t go anywhere yet, okay? We have a few snacks. We can eat that for lunch and then maybe I’ll go out later, all right?”
“Okay,” she whispered.
“Now, are you okay while I take my luggage into the other room? My room is through here.” He stood and opened an internal door. “We can keep it locked or unlocked. Whatever you want.”
“Unlocked,” she said hastily. “And it’s all right if you want to leave it open. I don’t mind.”
He translated that to mean she’d rather it was open. Luckily there was a door stop to prop it partially open.
“All right, I’ll be back in a moment. Maybe find something to watch on TV?”
As soon as he was in his room, he dumped his two bags and lay back on the bed, staring up at the ceiling. He glanced over at the open door. He couldn’t see her from this angle. And he didn’t know if that was a blessing or a curse. Reaching down, he adjusted his hard dick.
Think unsexy thoughts.
Gradually, his dick calmed down and he got up and walked back into her room. “What are we going to watch, Chocolate Pudding?”
She groaned. “That nickname is terrible.”
“I’m so insulted. I really thought that was my best one yet.”
Two movies and a bag of snacks later, he couldn’t handle it anymore. She was sitting so close to him. Every time she moved, he got a hit of her scent.
And it was enough to make him crazy.
His dick wasn’t behaving. At all.
As the movie ended, he turned to her. She looked sleepy, relaxed.
“Headache gone?”
“Uh-huh.”
“I’m going to go have a shower, okay?”
“Yes,” she said in a quiet voice.
Getting to his feet, he walked into his room and grabbed some clothes. Moving into the bathroom, he set his clothes down before turning on the shower.
Stripping, he climbed in. His dick was hard, and his balls tight with need. After cleaning himself, he took his cock in hand.
A small groan escaped from him as he ran his hand up and down his shaft.
Fuck.
He cupped his balls, tugging at them lightly as he leaned back against the wall of the shower and moved his hand faster and faster up and down his shaft.
Christ.
He could feel his orgasm building in the small of his back before he erupted with a shout.
Fuck.
Shit.
He took a few deep breaths. That was insane. Had he ever come that quickly?
A knock on the door had him freezing. What the fuck?
“Yeah?” he called out gruffly.
“Are you all right? I heard a shout.”
How loud had he been? Had she seriously heard him from the other room?
That didn’t add up.
“I’m fine. Sorry,” he said hastily.
“Are you sure? Shall I come in?”
“No!” he yelled, then winced. Had he locked the door? He didn’t think he had. He blew out a breath. “I’m fine. Really.”
Crap. He glanced down at himself. He was still standing there, holding his dick and balls.
He quickly let go. Ouch. He’d been clenching a bit too hard on his poor balls.
Get a grip man.
Just not of your balls!
He lightly smacked his head against the wall of the shower.
“I’ll go wait back in my room, then. If you’re sure.”
Damn it. She sounded so lost. He turned off the shower and quickly dried off before getting dressed.
When he walked back into her room, she was lying on her tummy on the bed. The covers were off and over her, wrapped around her head as she stared at the television.
“Sorry about that.”
“There’s nothing you need to apologize for,” she replied in a tight-sounding voice.
Was she coming down with something? She sounded a bit croaky. Maybe he should take her temperature . . . his gaze moved to her butt.
