So knotting and breeding—however much I wanted it—was out.
“I just need something to fill me up—to stretch me.” Jessina’s light brown cheeks went dark with am embarrassed blush, but she kept talking, telling me what she needed. “I’m a virgin but I’ve played with toys before—do you know what I mean?” she asked.
“Yeah, baby—of course I know what you mean,” I growled. Unbidden, a mental image of her lying on her back with a thick white dildo thrust deep in her creamy brown pussy rose to my mind’s eye. I felt a surge in my shaft and my throat was suddenly as dry as dust.
Goddess of the Four Faces, I really needed to jerk off! Or at least, taste her juices. The Thirst was riding me—I had to admit it, even though I didn’t like what that implied—that I really was her Fated Mate.
“Well that’s what I need—something big and thick inside me. Not fucking necessarily, just stretching—opening me,” she told me. “Do…do you have anything like that?”
Unfortunately, I didn’t happen to have any dildos lying around. I know some males like to stimulate themselves that way, but I’ve never been one of them.
When I shook my head, she looked upset.
“But what am I going to do about the emptiness? And my pussy is getting so sensitive—I’m afraid that soon I won’t even be able to stand to have your fingers in me. Then what will I do?”
“I don’t know, baby,” I admitted. I hated not having an answer to give her. “Look, let me get you a dinner tray and we can talk about it more after we eat. Do you think you can stand to get dressed?”
She shook her head.
“No, Turk—I’m sorry but I’m just so sensitive all over.”
“All right.” I nodded. Seeing her naked all the time was hard—or maybe I ought to say it made me hard. But I wasn’t going to force her to wear clothes if she didn’t feel like she could.
I just wished she wasn’t so damned beautiful and tempting!

Iwent down to the Mess Hall and got a tray for myself. I sat with Snuffy and Yorrin to eat my food quickly, wanting to get back to Jessina as quickly as possible.
“So Captain, how did the trading go?” Yorrin asked, blinking slowly at me as he ate.
“Yes, how did it go? How did it go?” Snuffy asked.
“Really well—I got excellent terms,” I told them. “The Chief should be pleased.”
“So we’re on our way back then,” Yorrin said slowly. “Tell me…” He dropped his voice. “Who’s going to be doing the navigation? It’s one thing to navigate between different planets in the same galaxy…but quite another to plot the wormhole jumps that will take us home.”
“I understand your concern, but I’ve got it handled,” I murmured. Both of us were casting looks at Gurflug, who was sitting at a table with Frux and two other Crewmembers. Yorrin was right not to trust the Galafruxian—I didn’t trust him either.
“We were just wondering where Cass is,” Snuffy put in. “Yes we were, yes we were!”
“He hasn’t been seen in some time,” Yorrin put in. “The Crew are starting to talk.”
Fuck—I hadn’t thought about this problem. Of course the Crew was wondering where “Cass” was. But I didn’t dare let them see Jessina. For one thing, she was too obviously a woman. And for a second, someone might recognize her as the missing Mafia Princess from Clan Cruel. There had been a reward for any clues leading to her—no doubt any of my Crewmembers would be happy to collect it, which would cause a big mess between Clan Cruel and Clan Savage.
“Cass is going through a, uh, a period of extreme sensitivity,” I said, making it up on the spot. “It has to do with his Catamite blood. So he might not be out among the general population of the ship for some time.”
“Really?” Yorrin raised his furry eyebrows.
“Really,” I said firmly.
I hated lying to him and Snuffy—I trusted them more than anyone else aboard The Illyrian. But I couldn’t risk even a whisper of “Cass’s” true identity getting out.
“Don’t worry, though,” I added. “He’s still able to navigate. He’ll be coming out after the Bridge is cleared every evening to set the course for the next day. I’ll just have Gurflug follow the instructions he leaves in the navigation computer.”
“He won’t like that—no he won’t, no he will not!” Snuffy remarked, his long nose twitching.
“Probably not, but that’s too fucking bad,” I said shortly. “Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to take a tray up to Cass.”
I left them giving each other expressive looks and got a fresh tray for Jessina. I just hoped she felt like eating—I was getting worried about her feeling sick all the time.
She’s sick with The Need, whispered an accusatory voice in the back of my head. She’s your Fated Mate—you ought to Bind her to you. It’s the only way to stop her pain and symptoms!
