Rachel giggles. “You mean birthday suit?”

Ariel’s cheeks turn rosy pink. “You’re serious?”

“You didn’t think we’d let you girls have all the fun, did you?” Ginger laughs. “Rache and I just didn’t want to bare all on the dance floor. The hot tub’s another story. Plus, the men are all otherwise occupied, so we can dish.” She turns to me. “I want the whole scoop on Sebastian Tate.”

“For the life of me, I have no idea what you’re talking about.” I smile slyly.

“Yeah, right.” Ginger laughs. “Let’s go, Rache. We’ll see you two in the tub.”

Evangeline is still busy tapping on her phone. A frown tightens her perfect black brows as I link my arm through Ariel’s.

“Come on, love. Let’s go get changed.”

By the time we return to the courtyard in our robes, Brett, Heather, and June are nowhere in sight. Ariel follows me to the pool house where we grab towels and fresh bottles of water, and then we head to the hot tub where Rachel and Ginger are already sitting among the steam and bubbles.

“This is fabulous,” Rachel gushes. “The temperature isn’t so awful hot that you can only stay in for ten minutes.”

“She’s right,” Ginger agrees. “Get your cute little tushies in here.”

I drop my robe without a thought, but Ariel keeps hers tight to her body. I’m not sure why. We’ve already seen her tits.

“You okay, love?”

“Yeah.” She slowly lets the robe fall from her shoulders. “You may as well all see this now.” She turns. On the left cheek of her ass is a mostly yellow tattoo—

Rachel gasps. “Is that Tweety Bird?”

Ginger erupts in laughter.

Ariel turns around and steps into the hot tub. “Go ahead and laugh. Get it out of your system now. At least I didn’t get a mermaid. That would have been a little too on the nose.”

“Why on earth…?” I have to ask.

“I was young, ridiculous, and drunk off my ass on Strawberry Blush.”

I raise my eyebrows. “Strawberry Blush?”

“It’s this really cheap wine with strawberry flavor added,” Ginger says. “I can’t tell you how many headaches I had from that shit when I was young.”

“You’re telling me.” Ariel swishes some water over her arms. “At least you didn’t end up with Bugs Bunny on your ass. My bestie Jazz got Pepé Le Pew, so I say I’m the winner.”

I squeeze Ariel’s thigh under the water. She had a rough start this evening, and she seems to be feeling better about herself. So she has a cartoon canary on her bum. Could definitely be worse.

Our breasts all float on top of the water. Interesting that we all have real breasts. I’ve seen them all—except for Sienna’s—and if any of them are fake, those plastic surgeons deserve medals. These are some serious works of art.

“You think the guys mandated no silicone?” I ask.

Ginger, the stunning dermatologist who’s got that perfect rosy skin all over her body, swallows a drink of water. “Who knows? Yours are great, by the way.” She nods to Rachel and then to Ariel. “Yours too. I’ve got to say, I’ve never been around so many beautiful women at one time.”

“Seriously?” Rachel says. “You’re so gorgeous I was sure you did pageants.”

“God, no.” Ginger shakes her head. “I was a science geek despite my love for Strawberry Blush. Med school was always my goal, and it took up most of my time from high school through my residency and fellowship.”

“Science geek here too!” Rachel high fives Ginger.

“How were you guys able to take all the time off?” Ariel asks.

“I’m a research experimental physicist,” Rachel says. “I simply took a leave of absence and left my work in the capable hands of a few stellar grad students.”

“I’ve only been out in the real world as a practicing doctor for a year, so when Evangeline found me, my answer was ‘hell, yes!’ I haven’t had time to meet men, so this was a godsend. I was looking for an out from the sexist pigs who hired me anyway.” Ginger rolls her eyes. “I quit the practice where I’ve been working. Maybe I’ll start my own when I get back.”

“Or maybe you won’t have to,” I say. “Maybe you’ll snag one of these billionaires.”

“Are you kidding? After all that school and training, I’ll be practicing medicine until I’m eighty.” She grins. “It would be nice to get my student loans paid off, though.”

Another high five from Rachel. “No kidding. I’d love that.”

Silence for a moment, until—

“So, Emily,” Ginger begins. “I want the scoop on Seb—”

“Well, well, well…” a deep voice drawls. “What do we have here?”

Brett Dawson stands by the hot tub, shirtless and barefoot but still wearing his dark trousers. The jets and bubbles were loud enough that none of us heard him enter the pool area.

The light from the moon and stars is bright enough that Ariel’s blush is apparent.
