“Drake Ransom?” Rachel finally asks.

“Yes. Do you know him?’

“Oh we know him.” They all exchange glances before they burst out laughing.

“What’s funny?” I ask confused.

“It’s not funny, per se, you may have heard of Mr. Ransom.” Now that Rachel mentions it, the name does sound familiar.

“Is he famous or something?”

“Oh yeah. I'm Lavinia, it’s nice to meet you. Drake Ransom is a porn star.”

“I think star is subjective,” Miriam says.

“Oh, my God. I’ve seen him… uh… perform… oh God.”

“And your mom slept with him? Samantha. Hi,” she says introducing herself.

“No, nothing like that. She used a sperm bank. Wow. This is a lot to process.”

I don’t get a chance to say more, because a swarm and I do mean swarm of guys, including Ken come into the bar.

“Ladies’ night is over,” Rachel says, smiling.

I watch as all of the ladies pair off with their husbands and either leave after making their goodbyes or head out to the dance floor. Ken comes to sit down beside me.

“What’s wrong? You look pale.” he asks, feeling my forehead.

“Drake Ransom is a porn star.” He says nothing for a few long moments, then bursts out laughing. I smack his arm, though not hard. “This is not funny. I’ve seen things. With my luck, he’ll be my dad, and I’ve seen things.”

“Oh, baby. I’m sorry,” I say, chuckling. “I mean, that’s… that’s fucking crazy.”

“We have to go right now. It’s only eight o’clock. I’m not going to be able to sleep if I don’t know.” I check my phone to make sure it’s not later than I think it is.

“Fine. Let’s go.”

“And stop laughing at me.”

We ask were we can find Drake Ransom and head over to house. It’s just off of Main Street. I ring the bell and he answers the door. I am legit freaking out.

“Can I help you?”

“Hi. You don’t know me.”

“I don’t sleep with fans. How did you get this address.”

“Um… No. That’s not why we are here.”

“You’re a bit old to sell cookies.”

“Listen, man. Did you donate sperm in the late nineties in Texas before you joined the service?” Ken asks.

“Nope. I had a vasectomy in 96. I was already making movies before I joined up. Stopped while I was in and started up again when I got out.”

“Oh, thank God,” I sigh, sagging against Ken.

“We’ll be going now,” Ken says.

“Thank you for your time.”

“No problem. Has anyone ever told you that you’d be great in movies? I produce now.”

“She’s good,” Ken says, dragging me away from his front door.

He takes my hand, and we walk back over to the hotel. Once we are in our room, he pushes me against the door. He kisses my neck before biting it.

“Mmm… why are you sooo good at that,” I moan.

“Does my baby like to watch adult films?”

“I mean I did.”

“Not anymore?”

“Why would I need to watch them now? I have you and you are so much better than that,” I tell him as he lifts me up and carries me across the room.

“That’s a good fucking answer, baby. A good fucking answer.” He bites my neck again, sending chills down my spine. I feel his hard cock pressing into me and honestly, I can’t wait until he’s inside me.

“Please,” I moan. “Make me yours.”

“You’re already mine.”

“That’s a good answer.”

CHAPTER

TEN

KENDRICK

I swear the more I am with her, the more in love I am. We have become closer and more open since we finally gave in to our mutual need. Hell, she has been so out of it, lost in a sex haze, that it hasn’t hit her. I have yet to put on a condom, and to be honest; I am not going to. I am going to put my baby inside of her over and over for the rest of our lives.

“This is a great place, babe.” We are sitting in the Early Bird Diner, which Diner, Drive-Ins, and Dives recommend. The food is amazing.

“Of course it is. Guy said it was fantastic, and he would never lie.” I shake my head, laughing at her cute obsession with all things Guy. I would be more than a little jealous if he weren't a happily married man.

“Of course not.” We finish up with the food, taking way too long, but that is because of me. I can’t seem to stop kissing her. Once the bill is paid, we grab our jackets and walk out of the place. “Where do you want to go love?”

“I think we should…”

“Oh my God, is that you, Kenny-poo?” The use of the nickname sends chills up my back and not in a good way. There is only one person who ever called me that.

“Linda,” I say her name in my most mundane voice. She takes that as a cue to walk up to me, to which I move back and put April in front of me.
