“Oh, that’s a good book.” He kissed my head. “No. Diaper littles are chocolate chips too.”
Snuggling us back into the big chair I’d picked out for him, Daddy made a happy sound and wiggled me around so he had me just right. “Perfect. Oh, who else should we include? Um, littles who like video games and museums and puzzles and hard coloring books are chocolate chips too.”
Whew.
I liked lots of stuff that was chocolate chips.
“That’s good, Daddy.” Kissing his cheek, I went back to my snuggly position so he could practice reading me a book. “I like lots of those things.”
“You do? Thank you for telling me.” He kissed my head before he looked around. “I think we’re missing something. We need to make sure we’re practicing just right.”
He was a really smart Daddy.
I was going to have to tell Leander what a good job he did.
“My binkie.” Pointing to the table by the chair, because Leander had helped me remember that Daddy chairs needed tables, I wiggled my fingers. “Books and cuddles need binkies.”
“Oh yes. We’ll remember that next time.” Picking up my binkie, Daddy brought it to my mouth. “It’s a very good job we’re doing a practice run for book time. We might have to do that for toys or bottle time next.”
As I nodded, I rested my head on his shoulder and relaxed because that was what I’d do if I was little. But I wasn’t. I had to be good for practice, though.
“Perfect. I’m glad we know what we’re going to do for our trial runs.” Settling the book on my lap, Daddy made the chair start gliding back and forth. “And can I just say, you picked out the perfect chair for me?”
That was good because me and Leander had sat in lots and lots and lots of them to figure it out.
“We might need to get one of these for my house too.” Daddy gave me another snuggly kiss. “I want to make sure we have everything that grown-up Terrence and little Terrence need to have fun. So a variety of toys at each house and a glider chair to start.”
Toys.
My giggle made Daddy sigh. “Yes, grown-up and little toys. You might need afternoon time at Daddy’s house too, so we need to make sure we’re prepared for anything.”
Daddy liked being prepared.
He liked having all his tools laid out and he liked having all his plans organized.
I was just as important as work stuff.
“I’m going to start making lists so I don’t forget anything.” Daddy gave me another hug. “After our date, of course. I’ve still got lots of practicing to do and lots to learn about you.”
Leander said everyone knew the best Daddies made lists.
He was going to like being right about that too.
But I’d been right about lots of stuff too…and he was my Daddy, so that meant I got all the rewards and cuddles and attention for being right.
And he was going to give me even more rewards after we practiced.
I was going to like practicing too…and I was going to have to tell Leander that the best Daddies practiced first.
Chapter 10
Enzo
“I don’t know. I think we did everything we’d planned.” Looking up from the floor I was stretched out on, I gave Terrence a confused frown. “We practiced reading a book and playing toys. We practiced finding where the sippy cups were.”
Scrunching up my face so I wouldn’t laugh as he crossed his arms and huffed, I gave him a floppy shrug. “I think that was all we planned.”
“Daddy.” He gave a not-so-subtle wiggle right over my lap and glared more sternly at me. “You’re very smart. You make lists. You have plans.”
He made those sound like he was listing off my ingredients instead of praising me, which just made the situation even more funny. “You know what else we’re doing.”
Yep.
Fucking with him since he was still firmly in the he wasn’t little camp.
I had to admit he was less little than he had been when we’d been reading while he sucked on his binkie, but that was not the face of a sub trying to seduce his Dom.
“You don’t forget.” Making it sound like that was frustrating at the very least, he sighed and slowly got a more devious expression on his face. “Hmm.”
It wasn’t subtle at all but that didn’t seem to be what he was aiming for. “You’re being stubborn.”
I wouldn’t have described it that way, but I could see where he was coming from.
“Daddies like teaching things. Leander said they like teachable moments.” That got another dramatic sound because he didn’t like it when Leander was right. “Ugh. I gotta be cute.”
That seemed painful to little Terrence, so I just waited to see what he’d do. I knew it wouldn’t be to safeword, but other than that, his reactions were always fascinating. As his mind rolled the problem over in his head, I wondered what he thought being cute entailed.
