However, Dylan might not see it that way.

Of course, Erin once again expressed her concern. “My worry is that if our plan doesn’t work and this ends up as a messy triangle, the easy relationship you and I have could be destroyed.”

“Don’t let it.”

She rolled her eyes at his response. “Yes, because words are always stronger than emotions.”

Ford now realized, after seeing the expression on Dylan’s face when he closed the blinds, her apprehension the other night was certainly valid. This plan could either work or go horribly wrong. In the end, they decided it was a risk both were willing to take.

He took his time releasing Erin, making sure her extremities weren’t numb, cleaning her up, then using ointment to soothe the raised, red stripes on her ass. He also watched her down his required bottle of water.

After helping her dress, he pulled her into an embrace, palmed her ass and squeezed. “Does it still burn?” he asked when she flinched.

“A little.”

He squeezed again, more gently this time. “Good. That means every time you sit for the next few hours, you’ll think of me and what I did to you.”

A soft smile filled her face. “That I will.”

“I think I’ll cane you next time instead of using the crop. I might even do your back and thighs.”

She pulled in a shuddered breath. Not from fear but excitement. “I think the crop was the right decision today, though. It left just enough of a mark on me for him to see it.”

To not only see it, but Ford was sure Dylan would have a strong opinion on it. “Will you talk to him?”

“Yes, but not today.” She glanced toward the door. “Do you think he’s still out there?”

“Not sure. It depends on his reaction to what he saw. He had no idea you were into impact play, right?”

“I didn’t tell him. Just like he didn’t tell me he was bi.”

When she chewed on her bottom lip, he pulled back and stared into her face. “What?”

“Should I feel bad about this whole plan?”

“No. He’s a big boy. Me thinks him coming up with this adult resort idea means he’s done a lot of naughty things with a lot of naughty people. He can handle what we did.” He paused as he considered what could happen if Dylan decided he didn’t want a threesome with them. “Even if the three of us don’t end up playing together, would you stop being with me if he forced you to choose?”

She shook her head. “You’ve been my rock when you didn’t need to be. In contrast, he ran off for bigger and better things, leaving me behind. At the time, that made me feel small and unworthy. I know better now, but even so, I’m not giving you up, Ford, not even for Dylan.”

That was the answer he hoped to hear. “It’s the same for me.”

“What if he has no interest in what we want?”

“Then we would have to decide if separate relationships between us would work. Or if it would destroy our individual relationships like you mentioned the other night.”

“I don’t want him to get hurt by this whole idea.”

“I don’t want him to get hurt, either. Hell, I don’t want any of us to get hurt. This is about pleasure, not pain.”

Her lips tipped up. “Well…”

Ford chuckled. “You know what I mean. Welcomed pain can be very pleasurable, as you know.”

“Just ask my ass cheeks,” she teased and pulled out of his arms. “Okay, I think our time is up for this room. We can’t continue to hog it.”

Plus, the cleaning crew would need to come in and do their thing before the next guests used it.

The extensive cleaning crew was just one “department” at the resort giving locals much-needed jobs. Employment around the area was limited and nobody liked to drive an hour to State College if they could avoid it, especially in winter, unless the position paid extremely well. Not even professors wanted that kind of commute to Penn State University’s main campus.

In the short amount of time between conception and opening, the ranch was definitely helping out the local economy. A positive in Ford’s view but, no surprise, not to everyone. Some of the more prudish residents of Fisher Falls were vocal about the resort being immoral once they found out the truth behind the all-adult “vacation” destination.

Ford unlocked the door and swung it open. “I can walk you to your car, if you—” He swallowed the rest of his offer the second he spotted his boss leaning against the wall nearby.

Waiting.

With his face unreadable and his arms crossed over his chest.

Erin went up on her toes, kissed his cheek and whispered, “I’ll talk to you later.” She stepped out into the hallway, gave her former high school sweetheart a nod and a calm, “Dylan.”
