She wasn’t desperate for him to finish. No waiting for him to growl his completion. Rosalie didn’t want him to stop and for him to know she enjoyed it, she began to thrust up against him, meeting each of his hard thrusts as he took her. He lifted her to new heights, more than she ever expected. He grabbed her shoulders, holding onto her as he increased the tempo, but she also knew he waited to see if she could handle more. Colt was being considerate. He was being sweet, and she found that so fucking charming.

She shouldn’t be thinking of any of these things. Deep in her heart, she knew he was using her, and she had to keep her emotions in check, but it was the little things. The small moments where he showed himself to be more than a vicious biker, only intent on using her.

When he came, she looked at him, watching him, basking in him finding his release, and she finally understood why sex could be so addictive.

Chapter Seventeen

“It sounds to me like you’re having a great time,” Petal said.

Rosalie smiled. She sat at the edge of the pool, her feet in the water. It had been a long time, or at least it felt like it, since she had called Petal. In the last couple of days, she and Colt had pretty much been only having sex. They didn’t have the stress of their lives surrounding them, so they’d been able to enjoy each other. That time was coming to an end. Saturday, they were flying back home, where reality would set in. Yay.

Rosalie didn’t want to head back to the reality of their world. She was afraid of Colt turning back into his asshole self, and she happened to like him like this. He was approachable, sweet. The kind of guy that opened doors, or held out chairs, sweet, caring, almost loving.

Every night when they showered, he wouldn’t allow her to have the soap until he had lathered her body, taken care of her hair, and then rinsed her. She was allowed to use the soap, but on him, and she’d used the time to explore every inch of his body. His ink was insane and crazy, and yet it went with him. It was all part of his world, some pranks that had gone wrong, some crazy bets that had gone awry, but it worked for him.

“It’s been eventful,” she said, but she couldn’t keep the smile from her lips. “Yes, okay, I’m having a great time. What about you?”

“Meh,” Petal said.

“Meh, what the hell is meh?”

“I mean, it’s fine. I’ve not seen a single shark. I’ve seen plenty of dolphins, which is cool. The best part about the visit.” She sighed. “I guess I’m missing firm ground.” She blew out a raspberry. “Sorry, I know you wanted me to say something else.”

“No, not at all. I want to know everything. I thought Dirty was there, keeping you company.”

“He is, but I don’t know what happened. Kim is like, always there, and since she is, he’s been a bit weird, reserved.” Petal sighed. “Ignore me. At the end of the day, I know why you did this for me. Your crazy, lunatic dad.”

Rosalie smiled, but she no longer felt so happy. Her friend was miserable. She sensed it and deep in her heart, she knew it as well.

“How is Mom?”

“She’s loving it. I have never seen her look so happy.” Petal sighed again. “All it does is show what he’s done for years, Rose. Fuck, I’ve been your BFF for years, and yet I didn’t even know until a few months ago. I figured your mother was one of these naturally miserable women.”

She chuckled. “She can be. I’ve never even seen her truly happy.”

“I’ll take some pictures so you can see. I just can’t imagine living twenty-one years, being terrified of someone constantly coming to call. I’d have killed him. I’m sorry, Rose, I know he’s your dad and all that—”

“Don’t apologize.” How could she judge when she had already arranged for the same thing to happen with Colt? She was no hypocrite.

Petal sighed. “I’m also missing my bestie. We were meant to take these kind of cruises together, you know. Me and you.”

“Yeah, one day we will.”

“Do you think Colt would let me and you out in the world?”

Rosalie laughed. “He doesn’t own me.”

“Er, with how you’ve been talking, I’d say he owns you a little bit. The sex is now good?”

She felt her cheeks heating. “I didn’t say that.”

“I heard the excitement in your voice. Sex is good when you’re with a guy who wants to make it good.”

“I’m going to regret telling you everything about my life, aren’t I?”

“Yep,” Petal said, laughing. “In truth, though, who am I actually going to tell?”
