I hung up the phone wondering what the hell could be so incriminating, what has the society maven been up to? The whirring of the fax machine had me getting up and walking over there. The first picture didn’t register because let’s face it when you’re not looking for something sometimes it can pass right over your head, by the third one though I was beginning to get the picture and it wasn’t good at all. Well it was good for me and the other would be blackmailer or whoever was doing the wiretapping and surveillance on her, but it was really fucked up for her. I could only shake my head as I studied the printouts in my hand; you think you know a person, and why was it that the ones who spoke out loudest against immorality were always the most immoral of beings? Zade was right, if I were into the shit this nut was into I’d think twice before sticking my nose into someone else’s shit. I had to think about what if anything I was going to tell my sweet girl about this but first things first.
Picking up my cell I called the Stanton residence and when she answered I just told her in the most sinister voice to watch her fax machine. I used the number Zade had attached with his report because I hadn’t known her fax number before, we didn’t have that kind of relationship where I would even want to know that shit. When I was sure she had received them I called her landline. She answered on the first ring not sounding so high and mighty any more.
“What do you want?” She sounded as if she was near tears, perfect; she’d scared my Anna unnecessarily with her bullshit.
“Call off your dogs or I’ll bury your ass and stay the fuck away from my family.”
“But she’s my daughter, you can’t...”
“She was your daughter those privileges were revoked completely when you tried to fuck with my kids.”
“I knew my daughter’s life was going to be ruined when she hooked up with you, money or not you’re still a classless nobody.” I had to laugh at her bullshit because she was seriously fucked in the head.
“First of all your daughter’s life is fucking beautiful, she drives a hundred thousand dollar car, lives in a ten million dollar mansion not to mention the many houses we own in other parts of the world and she happens to own enough diamonds to choke a fucking horse, trust me she lives like a fucking queen.”
“Yes that may all be true but look at the price she pays for all that a cheating husband.”

“Because she has all of me all the time twenty four seven all of them do, your problem is you have no idea of how we live our lives you have a twisted fuck view of our lifestyle. You think we’re having fucking orgies and watching porn all day or some fuck not that it’s any of your business but our lives are about more than your prurient imaginings. If you ever took a moment to read that book you’re always so fond of quoting you’d see that some of the greatest men of the time had multiple wives, then again what am I saying you should be afraid to even touch the bible after this nasty shit you’re doing on this film, if I were you I would worry less about me and my family and start trying to figure out who else you pissed off enough to want to destroy you.”
“What do you mean?”
“I mean that those pictures were taken weeks ago by someone else, someone who’s obviously collecting damaging information against you for a reason, wonder what that could be, just stay the fuck gone from our lives or you’ll regret fucking crossing me.” I hung up on her screams, crazy trick.
I went to see what my family was up to; maybe we’ll stay down here for a couple more days anyway we could all use the vacation.
