He glanced back over his shoulder. “You don’t mean that.”

“You bet your ass I do,” I said, thrusting my hips even faster between his legs now. “I’d do it right this second if I wasn’t too impatient to go grab a condom and lube.”

The look in his eyes was wild. “I thought you’d need to work up to it.”

“I may not have fucked a dude before, but I’ve fucked people in the ass before, you know,” I said.

“Oh. Goodness,” he said softly.

I puffed out a breathy laugh. “Never heard you say goodness before,” I said.

“One-Hundo Policy, Tris. It’s because I’m blushing,” he said. “Picturing you fucking somebody in the ass. It’s hot.”

“You’re blushing, even while my cock is between your legs, right this moment?”

“Good point.”

I slid in and out of the tight gap again, and it was crazy how good it felt. “And I didn’t know if you wanted anything like that,” I said, my own breathing coming heavier now as I thrusted. “I didn’t know if you were more of a give or a take kind of guy.”

“I’m both,” he uttered. “I’m very much both.”

“Mmm,” I hummed, my cock throbbing between his legs. “You’d let me fuck you, huh?”

“Uh, yeah,” he said. “To say the least. I would beg you to fuck me, Tristan.”

I groaned as I started to feel the crest of my orgasm crashing down. It all came at once, like a torrential downpour—one second, I thought I was completely in control, gripping his hips in this simulation of fucking him. And then a second later, I knew there was no way I could hold back.

“Then I’m going to fuck you,” I said in a primal growl. “Any time you want. Anywhere you want. Because you’re mine.”

I let go as I said it, feeling myself start to come between his legs. He squeezed tight as hell around me and I came, over and over, painting hot, white streaks down the inside of his thighs. The rain was still coming down hard all around the cab of the truck, and in here, we were sealed in our own safe little dome. Like we were the only people awake on Earth. Like nothing mattered except the two of us.

I tried to catch my breath as I slipped out, sitting back onto the seat, turning my head upward.

“Fuck,” I whispered.

“Yeah,” he said. “Wow.”

He reached for the roll of paper towels he always had in the back, and together, the two of us cleaned up the mess I’d left all over his thighs. We gradually pulled our clothes back on, and then sat for a moment in silence in the truck, just listening to the rain come down.

Just the two of us. Alone but together, the same way we’d always been so good at.

“Top ten,” I said softly a couple of minutes later.

“Huh?” Jack asked.

“Top ten orgasms ever,” I said, still in a dreamy state of disbelief. “Hell, maybe top five, and I can’t even believe I wasn’t really fucking you.”

“Sure felt like you were,” he said.

“God, it felt like you were, when you were in my mouth.”

“I know,” he uttered, reaching out and running a hand through my hair. “You sucked me dry.”

I looked at him, the weight of the world filling me up inside. Seeing him there now, in the hazy light that filtered through the storm and the truck windows, something shifted inside me.

“I’m tired of it,” I said softly.

A look of alarm passed over his face, just faintly enough for me to see it. He swallowed. “Tired of—”

“I’m tired of pretending that I’m not falling in love with you, Blue,” I said, my voice still quiet. My heart started to beat a little faster in my chest.

Blue was silent for a moment, his eyes wide.

Then two, then three.

Any other time, I would have felt just as shocked by what I’d just said, but right now, I frankly couldn’t give a damn.

“I—I’ve always loved you,” I continued. “Obviously. But I can’t act like something isn’t changing. I just wish, so badly, that you could accept it, too.”

“Accept it?” he said, his voice a cracking whisper. “Tristan, you have no idea what you’re doing to me. You don’t know how used to being lonely I’ve gotten, you know?”

Christ, it hurt to hear that.

I clicked my tongue, shaking my head. “Bullshit. You’ve always had me.”

“That doesn’t mean I had somebody on the other side of my bed every night,” he said, looking away now, out through the windshield at the rain. “Especially after this past year… I know this is going to sound crazy, but a part of me had just accepted that I might be alone for the rest of my life, and I was going to have to deal with that.”

“You realize how insane you sound, right?” I asked, lifting an eyebrow. “Alone forever, at age thirty? If Momma Jo were here she’d have to hold herself back from smacking you upside the head, with that comment.”
