“So, I can’t let another man entertain me when not even an hour ago, you had some bitch slurping on your fucking dick?” she snarled at me.

Ah, fuck, she’d seen that.

I tried my best to keep that shit away from her.

“I don’t want another man touching you,” I seethed.

She barked out a laugh, and I was surprised at how cold it sounded. It wasn’t like her. “Yeah, well, I don’t particularly appreciate every bitch you come across getting their mouth, pussy, or ass stuffed with your dick, but I don’t get a goddamn say in that, do I?” she retorted.

I leaned my face closer to hers, tightening my hand around her throat to bring her back to heel. She swallowed thickly beneath my palm. “Watch your tone with me,” I warned her.

She glared up at me. “You can go fuck yourself, Samuel,” she sneered, for once calling me by my full name.

Goddamn, that temper and that fucking mouth.

I kissed her hard and hungrily, my tongue plundering her mouth as I gripped her waist and settled her on the clean counter. She moaned into the kiss, her mouth attacking mine just as roughly as she gripped my cut, pulling me even closer to her so my cock rested right between her soft, thick thighs.

She whined and rubbed against me, her hard nipples pushing against her shirt. I grasped a handful of each breast, kneading them. Her moan was like music to my fucking ears.

I heard the kitchen door swing open, and I jerked my head over, spotting the woman that I’d had on her knees a while ago standing there. “Get out,” I snarled at her.

I could feel Reina tensing in my arms. Part of me already knew it was too late. I wasn’t getting anything out of her right then. No amount of pleading, touching, or kissing would make this woman succumb to me again.

She shoved me away, even though the woman had walked off. I didn’t even know the woman’s name. She was new here—had only been here a week, at most.

“Reina, baby—” I started. Panic clawed at my chest. Fuck, she’d never pushed me away from her.

It was like having cold water thrown over me. I was really fucking this up with her.

Her hand smacked across my cheek so hard that it echoed in the room. Her chest heaved with anger, tears shimmering in her eyes. And she didn’t say a word as she slid off the counter and rushed from the kitchen, quietly shutting the door behind her.

I wished she had slammed it, screamed at me before leaving—something. It would have shown she still cared, that I hadn’t fucked everything up beyond repair.

Instead, she just walked out as if I didn’t mean anything to her anymore.

And that shit fucking gutted me.

I was in a pissy mood when I woke up the next morning. After Reina left me in the kitchen, I didn’t see her for the rest of the night. I figured she had holed herself up in her room, so I didn’t dare bother her. That was her sanctuary; I wouldn’t disturb her there. It was a line that I refused to cross. She deserved at least that little bit of peace from me.

Especially when I was the reason she was escaping.

River banged on my door. I heaved a sigh. “Yeah?” I called out. I was tired. I didn’t even want to get up, but if the president came knocking, you got your ass in gear.

“Church, brother. Need your presence at the table.”

I grunted in response before flinging the covers off of me. I was dressed and out of the room in two minutes. Adelaide handed me a cup of coffee on her way by, a scowl on her features. I clenched my jaw. Guess she knew Reina and I were on the outs. And if there was one thing I knew about Adelaide, she would take Reina’s side in just about everything. And on this, I couldn’t blame her. I was a grade-A asshole. Just couldn’t fucking seem to help myself where Reina was concerned, though.

Adelaide was as fearless as River. They were a fucking match made in Heaven, to be honest. And I respected her, even if she did have a tendency to put her nose in places it didn’t belong. But I knew if she thought she was protecting Reina, she’d stick her nose in as far as she fucking wanted.

I stepped into the chapel and took my seat to the left of River, nodding once in respect to Joey and Ink—respectively the president and vice president of the Sons of Hell MC. They were both wide awake, looking a lot more ready for the day than I felt. Hell, I felt like dunking my entire face into a steaming pot of coffee so I could just inhale the damn caffeine and wake my ass up.
