The poor man is fucking tripping.

I don’t blame him.

If Ciara was in there, I’d be burning the place down to get her out.

No fucking doubt about it.

“She’s in a minimum-security prison right now,” Cade points out. “We just need to be careful on how we do it. Know you’re desperate to do it now, but if we fuck up, she’ll go away for longer.”

“Once she’s in my presence, nobody will fuckin’ touch her again,” Jackson barks.

“Brother,” I say, walking over and putting a hand on his shoulder. “Know you’re fuckin’ tripping right now, but we gotta be smart.”

“I fuckin’ know that.”

“We need a solid plan, and then we need somewhere to keep her once she’s out, because you know that cop will hunt her down like a dog.”

Jackson nods. “Not my first fuckin’ rodeo, Spike.”

Nodding, I step away.

“Got Fynn onto findin’ anything he can about this cop. He’s callin’ the shots, along with that other fucker, Greg. We find out who they’re workin’ for, and we bring them down,” I tell Jackson.

“They might not be workin’ for anyone,” Muff mutters. “It could be simply that they’re crooked and hate clubs.”

He’s right.

I nod in agreement. “Either way, we need to find out what’s motivating them and we need to end it.”

Cade looks to Jackson. “We’ll fix this.”

Jackson pulls out a cigarette, lighting it and inhaling deep.

He rarely smokes anymore, but the last week I’ve seen him put away more cigarettes than I’ve seen him smoke in two years.

He’s scared, and I get that.

“Ciara ain’t backin’ down on finding out what she can about Gerard, and I’ve got people lookin’ for his location.”

Jackson cracks his neck from side to side and exhales. “They’ll have him well hidden if they think he’s in danger.”

Cade grins. “Not the first time we’ve located someone hidden.”

I smirk. “Right about that.”

Jackson nods, and without saying another word, he turns and walks out.

Guess that’s the end of this conversation.

I go and hunt down the ladies, who are with the kids. No doubt plotting their own revenge against Gerard and whoever else dares step in their way. Ol’ ladies are just about as lethal as bikers when they have something they are passionate about. Ciara isn’t going to sit back until this fucker is brought down.

I love that about her. Even if it does drive me wild because she doesn’t follow instruction. At all.

Finding them in the garage, I walk over and lean down, brushing my lips across Ciara’s before taking Mercy from her arms. I bring her chubby cheeks to my lips and kiss them as she babbles incoherently and takes the chain around my neck, tugging. “Careful, baby,” I murmur, untangling her fingers.

“She’s at the grabby stage,” Ciara grins, looking up at me.

I grin, running my finger down her cheek.

Fucking love my kids.

“How did it all go?” Ciara asks, pushing to her feet.

“Got a plan in place, though I’m not sure Jackson is willin’ to wait for it. He’s losin’ his shit.”

“I can’t blame him. His woman is in prison, and she’s scared.”

The girls try to visit Serenity often, but some days they won’t let them in. I know everything is being control by crooked motherfuckers and because of that, it’s really hard to get close to Serenity. Still, they make sure they talk to her every day on the phone, at the very least.

They won’t ever not have her back.

These girls are a posse you don’t mess with.

“How’s she doin’?” I ask, shifting Mercy when she tries to take a handful of my hair.

“She’s tough. The girl has been through far worse. She’s mostly worried about Jackson, and of course, not seeing Ava is killing her. She won’t show it, though. She’s a warrior.”

She’s right, Serenity is tough, but she’s still alone in a place she shouldn’t be in.

“Still, she’s in there alone and that’s fucked.”

Ciara nods and her eyes fill with sadness. “Yeah, it is.”

“We’ll get her out, provided Jackson takes it easy.”

Frowning, Ciara sighs. “I worry he’s not going to do that.”

She and I both.

Stepping forward, I lean down, kissing her again. “Leave Jackson to me, you just worry about Gerard and proving them all wrong.”

Leaning back, Ciara grins. “Oh, don’t you worry about me. I’m going to make him wish he never met me.”

“There’s my girl.”

She laughs, pressing her cheek to my chest and putting an arm around my waist. Mercy immediately takes the chance to shove her chubby fingers into Ciara’s hair and tugs.

“Ow,” She giggles, untangling herself. “Dammit, she’s strong.”

“Like her momma,” I murmur, swiping a piece of hair off Ciara’s face.
