“Let me give this to you guys,” she tells me.

“I know where he gets it from now,” I say, shaking my head. “You know he’s not going to want this, right?”

“He isn’t going to argue with me.” She shrugs. “And if he does, I’ll play my ace card.”

“I’m afraid to ask,” I say, and she smirks. “I also don’t want to know.”

“It’s better if you don’t,” she says. The door opens, and I hear Ethan calling my name.

I look over and see that it’s earlier than I thought he would be home. “Sunrise, I’m back.”

“Your mom is here,” I say in case he says something no one wants their mother to hear.

“Oh, hey, Mom,” he says, walking to her and kissing her cheek. “This is nice.” He walks around and comes down to kiss me, seeing my eyes red. “What happened?”

“Nothing,” I say, kissing his lips and hugging his waist. “Your mom came over to give you something.”

“Did she?” He looks at his mother.

“This is yours,” she says, handing him a white paper, and he lets me go to open it, and I read it with him, the house in his name, and he looks at the paper and then at me.

“This is your house,” he says. “You bought it.”

I shrug my shoulder. “I thought I did, but it turns out, I was wrong.”

“But,” he says. “But it’s yours.” He looks at his mother. “It’s her house.”

“That’s up to you to decide,” she tells him.

“I’m not taking this.” He hands her back the paper. “I don’t want it. If you want, we will buy it from you.”

“Negative,” she says, leaning back in the chair. “You left us for five years, and all I could do was hope that you would come back. Now you’re here, and this is what needs to happen. This house was always yours from the moment I bought it. I’ve never asked you for anything in five years,” she says, and now I know the ace up her sleeve.

“Oh, god,” Ethan says. “You get to use that excuse one time,” he tells her. “But I’ll only accept it if you add Emily’s name to it.”

“You don’t have to do it,” I say. “I bought this house for you anyway.”

“I’ll add Emily’s name,” Savannah says. “Now, I have to go and get ready for a mayor dinner, which I hate.” She gets up and comes over to hug Ethan. “You stink.”

“Of what?” he says.

“Fish guts, sunscreen, worms, and horse.” She scrunches up her nose. “Now, I want you guys over for dinner tomorrow.”

“No can do,” Ethan says. “I have to go close up the cabin. I sold it.”

“What?” I look at him. “You …”

“No use having it,” he says as if it’s nothing, “so I sold it to one of the boys I knew. I thought we could go up there for a week or so.” I don’t have time to answer him.

“Well, you better call me when you guys get back,” Savannah says, giving me a hug. “And text me when you get there.”

“Ready to take a shower?” he asks, picking me up, and my legs wrap around him automatically.

“I don’t want to wet my hair,” I tell him. “I just washed it.”

“Sunrise,” he says my name. “You know that I love washing your hair.”

“No,” I say over my shoulder as I turn on the water. “You love holding my hair while fucking me.”

“I do love doing that.” He smiles wide, taking off his shirt and tossing it into the basket. “Now get your ass in there and sit down. I didn’t eat my breakfast this morning.” He slaps my ass, and the way he says the words makes my knees weak, so I do the only thing I can do. I walk into the shower and sit my ass down while he buries his face between my legs.

Chapter Twenty-Eight

Ethan

“I’m going to miss this view,” Emily says from on top of me after we finished watching the sunrise sitting on the porch of the cabin, her naked back to my chest. A cover wrapped around us, and my cock buried still inside her have become a morning ritual up here. We got here six days ago. I was nervous to show her the little cabin, afraid she would run for the hills. But instead, she smiled big and asked two things—if there was a toilet and hot water. We spent every day hiking and the nights with the lights on, getting lost in each other.

“I’m going to miss being naked with you outside and not caring if anyone can see you,” I say, holding her tits in my hands and rolling her nipples between my fingers, and she winces. “Does that hurt?”

“They are just sensitive,” she says, looking at me sideways. “That is all.” She smiles and moves her hips, making my cock wake up now. “Is he ready for round two?”
