“All those clothes need to go to the cleaners. Do you have a bag to put them in?” She looks up and I walk to her, grabbing her face, and kissing her lips.
“No bag. I just put them in a ball and carry them,” I tell her as I pick them up to show her. “See?”
“Okay, I have a bag we can put them in.” She picks up her empty bag and fills it with all of our stuff. “I need to go shopping for bikinis for Vegas.” She starts adding her clothes to the side of the closet that was empty. “I have all my stuff here,” she says again, looking at the space that was bare a month ago and is now full of her stuff.
“Good, now you don’t have to go back there anymore. Why don’t you just give Matthew back the key?” I ask her as I sit in the chair that is in the middle of the room.
“How about we tell them about us, and then move on to we are living with each other.” She stands there and I nod.
“Okay,” I say, “as long as you know that you’re not going back there.”
“Really?” she says as she puts her hand on her hip.
“Really.” I cross my hand in between my legs.
“And what if I said I wanted to go there tonight and sleep?”
“I would say you bet your fucking ass you’re not leaving this house,” I tell her, not even blinking.
She shakes her head. “You would never stop me.”
“Try it,” I tell her. “I dare you.”
“Don’t you pull that shit with me, Max.” She throws the bag at me as I swat it away.
“Angel, the only place you sleep is beside me. So if I’m here so are you.”
“We will just see about that. I’m staying at home tomorrow.” She starts picking up the clothes to bring to the laundry basket.
“You bet your ass you’re staying at home tomorrow, this home!” I yell as she walks out of the room and I hear her growl, making me laugh to myself. She gives me the silent treatment for the rest of the night, going to bed with her back to me. I curl up to her as she wiggles her ass. “I love you,” I say to her neck as she huffs out. “I love you, too, caveman.”
“Only when it comes to you.” I kiss her neck softly and she turns in my arms. “Mine.” I kiss her lips.
“Only yours.” She rolls me to my back and shows me exactly how much she is mine.
“One more fucking period and we get five fucking days off. I’m going to arrive tonight and not leave my house,” Matthew says from his side of the room. I just nod, thinking about how different our five days off will be. I haven’t told Allison yet, but I rented a three-bedroom suite at the Cosmopolitan hotel. It comes with a wraparound terrace and I can’t wait to just hang by the pool with her. Hold her hand in public, kiss her in public. The period flies by and we get our asses handed to us. Everyone slowly makes their way out to load the bus. “Where are you going?” Phil asks as he picks up his bag.
“I’m going to stay here,” I say.
Matthew says, “I think Allison’s dude is coming to meet her. Hey, if he picks her up here, can you send me a picture?”
I nod as they both leave the room. I make my way down the corridor to where I see Allison. I had our bags already sent to the hotel. It’s shocking what they will do when you are dropping eight grand a night on a room.
She leans against the wall as she waits for me and once she looks up and sees me, she comes to me, “Okay, where to?” She tries to get the hotel name from me.
“The car should be waiting. Let’s go,” I say as she follows me and groans.
“Max, this isn’t funny anymore.” She almost whines as we walk out and I see a black Lincoln car waiting for us.
The driver gets out as he nods to me. “Mr. and Mrs. Horton.”
I just nod and look over to see if Allison is going to correct him and she just gets into the open car door that he is holding.
I get in next to her as he takes Allison’s laptop case and my backpack. She sits down and he gets into the car and takes off. We arrive in no time, since the arena is close. She smiles as she looks up at the hotel.
“Well, well, well, Mr. Horton, you did good.” She smiles as she takes her bag from the chauffeur.
I walk beside her, my backpack hanging on one hand as she grabs my hand and joins our fingers together. We don’t stop at the desk since I’ve already got the room number and there is someone waiting for us upstairs. We walk through the casino where it looks like diamonds are hanging from the ceiling. I see Allison looking around.
