“Has she eaten dinner?”

“No, she asked to wait until you returned.”

This made him smile. Already, she was trying to make space for him in her life, and he could live with that. He didn’t have any problems being part of her world, that was exactly what he wanted.

Hanging up his jacket, he left Chase. His guard would know what to do, and Drago went straight toward the pool. There was a small building connected to his house, via a small glass tunnel. The pool was in a lovely heated room, so even in the dead of winter, he could enjoy a swim. Entering the room, he made sure he was quiet as he watched her.

Plants aligned the walls, giving it a tropical feel, and they helped to hide him from Selma.

She wore a one-piece swimsuit, and she worked her hands through the water. Her head moved from left to right as she took deep breaths. She got to the end of the pool, and then pushed off, going to the other side.

Selma glided so serenely, and he got the opportunity to check her ass out in the suit, which cut to high hip. His wife was all curves and he loved that about her. Full, ripe tits, curved hips, slender waist, and juicy thighs that were designed to be wrapped around a man as he plowed into her. His cock hardened and all he wanted to do was fuck her.

A virgin.

He had a feeling she’d never been with a man, but he didn’t know if he was just being hopeful. Her words were like magic to his ears. No other man had touched her. She was going to belong to him, and no one else.

He was going to treasure her, always. Selma was under the impression there was a time limit to their marriage. He didn’t know if she believed him when he said earlier that their marriage was for a lifetime. There was no way he was letting her go. He wanted her pregnant, and soon. Even though children hadn’t been high on his list of priorities, Selma had changed all of that. He needed to bind her to him.

She broke the surface, sunk down beneath the water, and then lifted up, pushing her hair off her face as she did so.

“Having fun?” he asked, stepping out of the shadows.

Selma gasped and spun around, trying to locate him.

“You’re home,” she said. “I believe they’re waiting for us to make dinner. I’m going to have to go and let them know.” She was already moving toward the steps.

Drago started to release the buttons on his cuff, and then went to the top of his shirt and slowly released them. His actions had stopped her in his tracks.

“What are you doing?” she asked.

He was pleased he hadn’t shocked her to silence.

“I’m going to enjoy a late-night swim with my wife.”

“Oh,” Selma said.

“Unless you have other things you would like to do?” Drago asked, giving her the out. He didn’t know if she needed one, but he waited, and she shook her head.

“No, the water feels amazing. Do you keep it heated?”

“Yes.”

“Wow.”

He removed his pants and Selma turned away, giving him some privacy.

“You can look, Selma. Remember, you belong to me, and I belong to you.”

“I’ve never seen a man naked. Not in the flesh. I’ve seen it in movies, but not … you know…” She didn’t finish.

“Have you watched porn?” he asked.

This did make her turn to look at him, and her cheeks were a nice bright red. “No, I’ve never watched porn.”

“Pity,” he said. “There are a lot of naked men on them.”

“I don’t watch porn.”

“Why not? Some of it can be hot,” he asked.

He’d never enjoyed the whole porn thing. Drago couldn’t recall ever beating himself off to images on the computer, or television.

She wrinkled her nose. “No, thank you. Books are much better.”

“Ah, so you like reading book porn?”

“It’s not book porn. It’s romance that goes into the bedroom. That doesn’t make it porn.”

He couldn’t help but laugh as he stepped into the water.

Their conversation had distracted her enough for him to get closer, and that was all he’d been hoping for.

Chapter Three

Selma hadn’t looked at him, even though there had been temptation to take a sneaky peek. She’d been good, though.

No, she never had the desire to watch porn. Books were more than enough for her. Over the years she had wondered if she was a bit strange. She’d never flirted with guys or wanted to date those she had seen. She’d never gone to a high school or college. Her studies had been under the watchful eye of her father. He had always been careful with her safety.

The men she knew were his guards, so they were always off limits. At the small town, the men had kept their distance, and she’d been relieved by that. Now, though, she had to wonder if it was the best decision for her.
