When the fabric fell away from her full breasts, Colt eased it off and dropped the garment to the couch without a look. With an expression of a man receiving the best present he’d ever seen, his gaze focused on her body as he cupped her large mounds in his hands. “Damn, Harper.”

The air rushed back into her lungs, making her breasts rise suddenly. His groan of arousal sent an arrow of desire low into her abdomen and Harper struggled not to rub herself against his hard erection. She shivered as his thumbs, callused from playing the guitar on stage and physical activity, rubbed over her taut nipples. He leaned her back slightly as he bent forward to capture one peak in his lips, tasting it with his tongue as he pulled it into the heat of his mouth. Threading her fingers through his hair, she held him close, torn between being afraid he would stop and what would come next.

Colt lifted his head, and Harper could see the fire in his eyes. She wiggled slightly against him, feeling brave in the face of his obvious desire.

“Temptress,” he growled, releasing her breasts to clamp onto her hips, holding her in place. “You may just be the death of me. It’s your turn.”

Harper stared at him, trying to concentrate. She couldn’t think of anything but being half naked on his lap. Shaking her head, she hoped he’d understand how boggled her mind felt.

“It’s okay, Harper. This is a lot to think about. Will you promise to tell me if there’s something else you’d like us to add?”

Seizing on that suggestion eagerly, she nodded. “I promise.”

“Then it’s my turn and I have one last rule to add.”

She suspected from his tone this one had to be the most important to him. Harper pulled her thoughts together to focus and laced her fingers over his, still gripping her hips. “What is it?”

“Always rely on the trust between us. I’m sorry in advance for what you’ll see on social media or rumors that you’ll hear. Whatever negative thing crops up, I want you to have confidence that I’m faithful and that I’d never do anything to hurt you. I haven’t. I wouldn’t. Ever,” he promised.

“I’ll try my very best,” she whispered.

“That’s all I can ask for besides your promise to talk to me if something comes up,” he requested.

“Okay.” She looked down at herself. “Do I need to strip more?”

“I’ll take an extra turn for my extra rule.” Colt wrapped his arms around her and rose from the couch, lifting them both to their feet.

Running his hands down her arms, Colt drew her hands to the front of his jeans. “Help Daddy, Angel. Show me you want me as much as I crave you.”

Her hands trembled as she unfastened the button and grasped the metal tab at the top of his zipper. His shaft pressed urgently against the material. Harper hesitated and looked up to whisper, “I don’t want to hurt you.”

“Let me help you, Little girl,” he suggested. Thrusting one hand between the denim material and his tight boxers, Colt restrained his cock against his body.

Immediately, Harper drew the zipper down. The material parted on its path, allowing her to see his hand cupping his thick shaft. The sight of him touching himself, even so innocently, made her squeeze her thighs together. The racy thought that she could have done that popped into her head.

“I don’t know what you just thought, but I want to try that,” he suggested with a smirk.

“Don’t make fun of me!” she protested, feeling her self-consciousness rebounding tenfold. Harper snatched her hands away from his fly.

Colt wrapped his powerful hands around her shoulders and held her in place as she tried to scramble away. “Look at me.”

The dominance in his tone drew her gaze to his face. “Have I ever made fun of you? Even in a teasing manner?” Colt demanded.

Harper stared hard at him, trying to think of something she could use to fling into his handsome face. “I… No, I can’t think of anything right now,” she finally admitted.

“I don’t think you will,” Colt said softly. He turned back to the couch to grab her T-shirt before sliding it over her head to cover her body. “I’m sorry I pushed you too fast, Little girl. I would never do anything to scare you.”

Grateful to be mostly dressed, Harper dropped her chin and stared at his chiseled chest, avoiding his knowing gaze as she battled with tears that threatened to fall. “I’m scared, Colt.”

“I know. How important you are to me frightens me, too. I’m willing to go as slow as you need to move forward in our relationship.”

Harper threw herself forward and wrapped her arms around his neck. “I don’t think I can survive without you as at least a friend. I don’t want to screw that up.”
