“That settles it,” Seven says. “If you want to continue this, we find a way so I can go with you. That way you have a ready supply from me anytime you need me.”

I laugh. “Ready supply of you?”

“You might need more than just my blood, baby,” Seven says rocking under my ass so I can feel his hard cock pressing against me.

“Seven!” I hiss as everyone starts laughing.

Seven stands up, pulling me into his arms as I hold onto him, squealing because he caught me unaware. “What are you doing?”

“I’ll be taking my mate to our room to show her all the reasons why it’d be good to take me with her wherever she goes.” He starts towards our room not waiting for a response.

I bury my face in his chest as the laughter of everyone follows behind us.

(STARK)

I’ll finally be capturing Scar today. He will pay for all the hell he’s put not only us—but everyone through. I need to make sure Grace is safe from him. That asshole trying to get into her mind makes me want to scream.

I have no doubt that if Grace was a normal, mortal woman and his mind trick worked, Scar would’ve taken her, tortured her, scarred her in ways she would never recover from and then he’d hide her where I couldn’t find her. Then, he would have abused, bred, and destroyed her. Killing Grace would mean nothing to him. Just thinking about everything he would do to her if he captured her makes me want to tear him apart piece by piece. Just thinking about it causes my fangs to elongate and claws grow from my fingertips.

I glance down at my beautiful mate with her blonde hair that shines as if there’s sunshine in the room. The light I see when I look at her is just something within her, but it soothes me. She’s brought that light out in me too. Happiness, sunshine… life. That’s my Gracie, and I will protect her at all costs.

Leaning down I kiss her forehead gently. “I love you, Gracie,” I whisper before getting up and dressing quietly in the dark. I head straight for the lab. The others are already there. Oracle is here too and he’s less manic. It’s clear, however, that he’s clearly grieving. If he and Gracie don’t find a way to get Lucy back, Oracle won’t last. It’s not like I can blame him, either. I wouldn’t want to survive in a world without my mate, which is why I’m here.

“Are the others going to be at the hospital?” I ask Sean and Leo. Sean nods.

“Jacob said he and Nine will be there. Endy is still recovering and weak. So, they decided he will stay with his pack and do his best to protect their group.”

“What time did you tell Jacob?”

“They’re going to be there at six thirty,” Leo says, looking up at the clock on the wall.

“We will need two people at each entrance. We need the weapons that Oracle has been working on.” I look over at Oracle, praying he’s ready. “Are they ready?”

“Of course,” Oracle says, sounding impatient and uninterested.

I sigh. “Oracle, the sooner we eliminate Scar the sooner Grace and I can help you get Lucy back.” I can see just by saying Lucy’s name I cause Oracle pain and makes me feel like shit.

Oracle walks to a safe, he keys in a code and then opens it. He immediately pulls out four knives. They’re oddly shaped but shining in the light as if they were coated in liquid steel. They are mostly silver but contain a strange blue tint. Instead of a normal round handle for a hilt, there’s spots for fingers to go that look like brass knuckles.

“I used the ancient texts of our kind to help forge these battle swords. They are weapons that are designed to terminally wound our kind,” Oracle says, handling them carefully. “It will infuse the person you cut with heat as intense as the sun. So, a small cut will weaken them, a cut that would normally take a while to heal could be eventually terminal and a deep cut?” Oracle shrugs, as its self-explanatory.

“There’s only four,” Sean says, pointing out the obvious.

“One for each of us,” Oracle says.

“What about the others?” Sean asks. “Jacob and Nine.”

I sigh, rubbing the back of my neck. I’m drawing a line in the sand, but I don’t feel as if I have a choice. “They will be shifted. They will use their beasts to inflict damage.”

“Yeah, but—” I don’t give him a chance to finish.

“We can’t allow them to get these weapons. No one can have them. They return to the safe after we use them.”

“But Jacob and—”

“I view them as family, too, Sean. It’s just they have separated themselves from us. As long as they view us as dangerous and outsiders, we can’t forget that. We can die at our brother’s hand as well as a stranger’s. That’s the lesson Scar taught us all.”
