I make my way back down the stage to watch the rest of the ceremony from my seat. The second it’s over, I’m rushing over to my family. They aren’t hard to find. Kane, Archer, Jason, and my brother tower above everyone else.
I’m engulfed with hugs and congratulations. “Everyone meeting at the club?” Ollie asks.
“Is there going to be cake? Someone tell me there’s cake.” I want to make sure I ask the important questions.
“You think I’d forget to get my pregnant wife a cake?” Captain asks.
“I picked it out,” Violet says proudly. My precious baby girl.
“Thank you, baby.” I kiss her on her cheek.
I still can’t believe she’s four already. It has all gone by so fast. Everything except the pregnancy. That girl had been determined to stay inside me, arriving almost two weeks later than she was supposed to.
That’s Violet, though. That girl finds herself a comfy spot, and she’s out like a light. She’s full of energy until it’s time for sleep and then she’s a goner. She can sleep twelve hours straight through. She only has two speeds: fully on or fully off. There is no in-between.
“You’re welcome, Mommy.” She beams at me. “I ride with Aunt Vee?” she asks.
“If you want to.” She nods before she starts to wiggle in Kane’s arms to get down.
Captain gives her a kiss before putting her down so that she can go with Archer and Vee. She loves being with the other kids. She’s still an only sibling for now.
Both Kane and I knew we wanted more kids, but we waited to start trying again till I’d gotten closer to graduation. We both wanted to savor the time with her, and with me going to school there's only so much time in a day.
“Damn proud of you.” Captain wraps his arm around me as he guides me toward the truck.
“Thank you.” My waterworks start again. He opens the door for me before he grips me by the hips to lift me to sit inside. Almost five years together and my man is still manhandling me. I love it.
Allowing Kane to get past all the walls I had up was the best decision of my life. Not that I really had a choice in the matter. He sort of bulldozed them down, to be honest. It was a few years after we got married that I found out about him having put a tracker on my car, and let's not forget how he’d gotten me fired from the call center. Actually, I'm thankful for that one. I hated that place. The man does anything and everything for me. It drives me crazy at times, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
“Don’t thank me. This is all you, babe.”
“No.” I shake my head. “This was both of us. I love you so damn much.” I grip the front of his shirt and pull him down for a kiss. He claims my mouth. The kiss starts off slowly, but quickly starts to heat.
“Addilyn.” Kane groans my name as he lifts his head. I realize I’ve undone three of the buttons on his shirt.
“Let’s get out of here.” I lick my lips, wanting to be alone with my husband. Kane clicks my seat belt into place before he shuts my door and runs around to jump into the driver seat.
Captain takes off, heading toward the warehouse. “Take it off,” he orders. I toss my hat into the back before I slip the graduation gown off. But I don’t stop there. I slide my dress all the way up to reveal my panties. I can already feel how soaked they are with my arousal. “Addilyn.”
“What?” I say innocently before I hook my fingers into them and pull them down my legs. I’m about to toss them in the back, but Captain snags them from my hand before I can. I guess old habits die hard. He’s still stealing my panties after all these years.
“Play with yourself.” He reaches over, grabbing my thigh and spreading my legs wider. He sucks in a deep breath, trying to smell me. I do exactly as he commands. I reach down, sliding my fingers through my folds.
“Drive faster,” I moan, but I know he’s not going to. “Captain.”
“Don’t you come.” He gives my thigh a small smack, making me whimper. Damn, I love when Kane gets filthy. No one in a million years, would ever guess how he is underneath all his gentlemanly ways and doing things by the book. But he’s never been that way with me. From the very start, he was different when it came to me.
Captain turns into the warehouse parking lot but goes around to the side where no one will see us. He has my seat belt off me and is pulling me over into his lap before I realize he’s got the truck into park.
