I taste his perfect skin with every kiss, desperate for more as he bites me harder, leaving a trail of fiery marks on my neck. A low growl escapes him as he finds my clit, teasing it gently with his thumb while he continues to plunge into me. It feels like heaven and hell all at once—a whirlwind of sensations threatening to unmake me at the cellular level.

His lips capture mine again in another deep kiss, his hot tongue tangling with mine as he groans. He tastes like wood smoke on a summer night, fresh and wild—a primal scent that sends shivers down my spine.

The feel of our sweat mingling together is intoxicating, a sticky heat that only fuels our passion. His hands move down to cup my ass cheeks firmly, lifting me up to meet him—every touch setting off fireworks in my core. This time when he slams home, I cry out in bliss, losing myself to the pleasure coursing through me. Our teeth clatter against each other's lips, our moans reverberating off the walls and mixing into a symphony of ecstasy.

God, I love this man—the way he takes control overwhelms me but leaves me craving more. I run my nails down his back in response to his touch—marking him as much as he's marked me already tonight.

His whole body trembles with need as he takes me roughly. It screams of dominance and possession. He's claiming what belongs to him—marking me as his own—branding me with the taste of him still lingering on my tongue.

My mind goes blank except for the feeling of him plunging deeper inside me with every thrust. My nails score down his back, a sharp cry escaping my lips.

"That's it, Sunshine," he growls. "Give it up to me. Every last drop."

I do. God, I do.

I shatter around him, every nerve ending on fire with pleasure.

He roars with triumph, his rhythm faltering as he loses himself in the moment. His hips snap into me, sending waves of ecstasy through my body. My name cracks from his lips in a broken cry. As he reaches his peak, his hot seed spills into me, filling me with a sticky warmth that drips down my legs.

In this moment, we're one, lost in the frenzy and drowning in ecstasy together.

And as we come down, trembling, gasping, and clinging to one another, I'm more certain than ever that I have to find a way to tell him the truth about me and my family. Every inch of his skin is imprinted on my memory, every kiss etched into my soul. I can't give that up. I can't lose him.

Chapter Seven

Caleb

Early morning sunlight filters through the trees, casting dappled patterns on the wooden floors of the cabin. As Sutton wanders around silently, taking in the simple, rugged charm of my place in the mountains, I can't help but watch her every move. Her hazel doe eyes widen in awe as she runs her fingers along the rough-hewn posts, her dimples deepening as her smile grows.

"You really built this place yourself?"

"Mmhmm," I hum.

"Wow," she whispers, awe in her voice.

I never thought I'd see someone look so perfect in my space. But everything feels alive and vibrant with Sutton here. She and Koda bring a warmth to this place that I never knew was missing. The crazy little pup bounces around at her feet, sniffing and growling at everything in his path.

I follow them as they explore, admiring the way the sunlight catches strands of Sutton's dark hair, illuminating them like burnished copper. The way she moves with such grace and curiosity makes me feel like I'm seeing my home for the first time through her eyes.

It's simple and uncomplicated, a refuge from the chaos and noise of the outside world. I needed that once upon a time. I came home from overseas with a mind at war, unable to settle. This place soothed me. It helped heal what war broke.

The crisp mountain air and fresh pine, mixed with the hint of wildflowers dotting the valley act like a balm for even the most restless soul. And God knows, mine was restless and raw back then.

I put my blood and sweat into constructing this place, pouring it into the foundation and shaping it into the walls. Somewhere along the way, it silenced the war in my mind.

The cabin isn't much, but every inch of it is mine.

When Sutton reaches the corner where my old guitar sits, she comes to a dead stop, slowly turning to look at me over her shoulder.

"You play?"

"Some." I bend to pick the guitar up, running my fingers over the old strings. They vibrate out of tune. It's been a while since I felt a need to play. "I picked it up after I returned from overseas."

"Are you any good?"

"Fuck no," I say with a chuckle. "The therapist suggested it. Said I needed something to do with my hands other than split wood all goddamn day. I saw the guitar in a shop window on my way home from our session and thought, what the hell?"
