I pull my mouth away, hearing her low, impatient growl. “Kiss me,” she demands, yanking at my hair aggressively. “Tyler, kiss me.”

I reach up and force her hands away from my head before lowering her to the bed. “What are you afraid of, Lainey?” I ask, pinning her hands on either side of her head. “That you’ll want more?”

She tries to buck beneath me. “Tyler.” Her strength is quite something, her determination to break free of my hold, forcing me to fight her wrists back down to the mattress. “Let me go.”

“No.” I keep her secure and start trailing delicate kisses over her lace-covered boobs, working my way up to her neck. She moans, her head tossing from side to side. “You came to me today. You came to me. So stop fighting it,” I whisper, sucking the flesh of her neck into my mouth, biting lightly. “Just let it happen, Lainey.”

“Oh God,” she cries. Defeat. I hear defeat in her words, and I grab on to it with all I have, rolling my groin into her hips and moving my lips up until they creep slowly onto her mouth. Her tongue is seeking mine in a second, not impatient or demanding, but softly, almost placid.

I have her.

My grip relaxes over her wrists, and she leaves them there, following my lazy kiss willingly. “See?” I roll over, taking her with me until she’s lying on me, her body stretched the length of mine. “This is good, yes?”

She hums her agreement, and I smile on the inside, wrapping my arms around her when she brings her arms up to cradle my head. Bliss. Not fun. This is out-of-this-world bliss. Fucking heaven.

“I could kiss you forever,” I admit, rolling us again, getting her back beneath me.

“You’re so good,” she breathes, biting down on my lip.

“At kissing?” I nudge her face with mine and sweep my tongue smoothly across the seam of her mouth. She opens, and I plunge deeply on a sigh.

“At everything. But especially good at kissing.”

“I plan on kissing every goddamn perfect inch of you.” I cup her face and deepen my kiss. “I’m going to kiss you until you forget your name.”

“What’s my name?” Lainey instigates the next roll, putting us back in the center of my bed. “Tell me my name.”

“Lainey.” I sink my hand into her hair and push the back of her head, hardening our connection. She starts to writhe atop of me, rubbing into my groin.

“Oh fuck.”

Knock, knock, knock.

I ignore the distant sound of knocking at my front door, taking Lainey to her back again and grinding my hips hard. She whimpers, her hands feeling across my naked back. “The door,” she moans, biting at my cheek. “There’s someone at the door.”

“They’ll go away.” I reposition myself to the side of her and trail my hand down to her thigh.

Knock, knock, knock.

My fingers slip past the seam of her knickers and plunge into a drenched warmth. I growl into her mouth as she groans, her body bowing harshly. But she maintains our kiss, her fingers clawing into my shoulders. “I want you inside me.”

“With pleasure.” I pull my fingers free and my mouth from hers, starting to push her knickers down her thighs.

Knock, knock, knock.

“I don’t think they’re going away,” she pants, closing her eyes, squirming in anticipation.

“I’m not answering,” I tell her, my eyes rooted on Lainey’s neat strip of hair over her sweet place—the place I’m going to lose myself in right now. I crawl on top of her, pushing her hands from my jeans when she grabs at the waist. “Wait,” I warn, making her hiss, annoyed. My face lowers, her eyes on mine as I slowly drift down to her lower tummy, and just as my lips skim her smooth skin—

Knock, knock, knock.

“For fuck’s sake,” I growl, planting my fists into the sheets either side of her hips and pushing my torso up.

Lainey giggles, resting her arms above her head, all relaxed. “Sounds like someone wants to see you.” She raises a cheeky eyebrow. I know what she’s thinking, and she’s probably right.

Knock, knock, knock.

I shake my head on a sigh, getting up off the bed. “I’ll get rid of them.” I can’t concentrate when someone—whoever it is—is hammering on my door.

“Be easy on them.”

I scoff, checking the fly of my jeans is secure as I head to the door, pulling my T-shirt on. “How does a plain fuck off sound?”

“Brutal.” She laughs. “Expect a slap.”

“Fine. You can kiss it better when I’m back.”

“Oh shit. Tyler,” Lainey shouts, stopping me at the bedroom door. I turn and find her sitting bolt upright on the bed, looking worried. “What if it’s Sal?”

“If it’s Sal, he’ll be the one getting a slap,” I grumble. The motherfucker has already ruined part of my well-planned evening. I’ll be dead before he ruins this part.
