Jesus. It was… Fuck, I was conflicted again. On the one hand, I fell harder for my man when he was so sure about us; he felt secure in our love to the point where he was itching to play rougher than ever.

On the other hand, I wasn’t as brave as he was. I’d be a liar if I said I didn’t want a repeat of yesterday—I did—but I needed a much smaller time frame. I needed to be somewhat prepared that it was going to happen, and when. At least when it came to cuckolding. And I did my best to explain that to Lee, because I wanted him to know every thought I had on the matter. I didn’t want any miscommunication between us. After all, we were playing with fire.

“Isn’t that what we do?” he countered patiently. “We’ve always played with fire.”

Valid point. But it was one thing to feel the Kevlar strands of his fire flogger on my back—a whole other to watch my heart go up in flames.

“But you know what?” He reached for my hand and squeezed it. “It doesn’t matter. It’s okay that we need different time frames. I won’t allow any worries to bleed into our everyday life.”

I exhaled and immediately unbuckled my seat belt. I had to be closer to him. So I slid onto the middle seat and strapped in there instead, and then I hugged his arm.

“There’s nothing wrong with baby steps,” he told me. “So right now, we decide that I will only put you through the emotional wringer when you know it’s coming. We’ll make dates for those scenes together.”

I kissed his shoulder. “Thank you, Master. Maybe I’ll change my mind once I’ve played with him. I don’t know.”

“We’ll push the boundaries slowly,” he replied. “The second one of us feels uncomfortable, we’ll discuss things together.”

I nodded, feeling much better. “But you don’t want to see it coming, Sir?”

“Not completely. I’m gonna test the waters carefully too, but having played with him, I think it’s gonna take a lot for me to hurt.” He chuckled for some reason, and he shook his head. “He’s such a fucking slut. And he’s so new. I’m willing to bet the first people he’ll befriend in our community are younger subs.”

I tilted my head. “How do you figure?”

He switched lanes and took on a pensive expression. “When we get into kink, we’re reborn, much like children. We look at implements and read about kinks with new eyes. We hunger and seek with our bodies leading the way.” He grabbed his coffee from the cupholder again. “If we saw Franklin in a boardroom, he’d probably knock us over with his experience and decisiveness, but in kink…? His maturity level matches a Little in the middle of regression.”

I quirked a smile. That was an interesting way to look at it.

“Anyway.” He took a swig of his coffee before returning it to the holder. “You have two weeks. Just to put a limit on how much I can fret. For the next two weeks, feel free to turn me into a masochist.”

He wanted to catch me in the act.

I studied him from the corner of my eye as my mind started spinning.

“If you move your lunch tomorrow to the house…” He threw that out there and trailed off.

I got what he was saying. He wanted fuel for our primal play, which we were evidently engaging in tomorrow. But if he caught me with Franklin at the house in Mclean, he’d see it coming.

Okay, okay, this was gonna be fun. It’d never been my responsibility to plan an elaborate scene on my own.

Assuming he’d intended for our primal play to take place in the woods behind the house, which was where we usually got our primal freak on, it would be easy to say we’d meet up out there instead. But the problem remained. When Lee came out, he’d expect to find me with Franklin.

I had an opportunity to one-up my Master, to really catch him off guard, and Mclean was out. It had to be a location he wasn’t already picturing in his head.

Like our home.

Like the bed we shared.

“Maybe I’ll reserve a new guest room,” I lied.

Fuck me, I was already excited.

“Don’t tell me too many details.” Master used my words.

I smirked. It wasn’t about the number of details I was gonna give him. It was about giving him false information; otherwise, I wouldn’t be able to throw him. Let him think I was a Dom who didn’t think things through properly. Let him underestimate me. Let him believe he was going to enter a guest room tomorrow to find me fucking Franklin up the ass.

Game on, Master.

Lee checked the rearview. If he was switching lanes soon, I could only guess we were heading to a diner we’d stopped at before. They had freaking amazing pancakes. More importantly, they were open at this hour.
