“I can do that.”

Kole laughs. “He told me I had to do it because he didn’t trust any of you three with the Zamboni.”

“Oh, true. He doesn’t let anyone on the team near that thing even though I’ve driven a million of them.”

“Have you got any study plans for after this?” he asks as we enter the locker room. The other two are already in the showers, and it’s only now I become keenly aware that Kole is about to join them.

Naked.

With me.

I face my cubby, take a deep breath, and tell my already hardening cock to calm down. I’ve seen Kole naked before. I’ve had his dick in my mouth, so this is no big deal. But damn if I haven’t been thinking about it. Repeatedly.

I look at him over my shoulder. He’s already stripping down.

Oh God, there’s his long torso that I drew all over. The ink may be gone now, but I’ll never be able to see him shirtless without thinking about that night.

“I didn’t think it was that hard a question,” Kole says.

I shake my head. “What?”

“After this? Any coursework you need help with?”

More images of his naked body fill my head. “You offering?”

Gah, no, he can’t be. He has his own studying to do. And, like, actual studying. Not euphemism studying.

He drops his hockey pants to the ground, and I swallow hard.

“Dad took Mom out for the day, so my house is free.”

“I could … study.”

Remember the rules, Asher. Only as a reward. I cannot hook up with him right here and now.

Though … we’ve already broken the only at away games rule.

No. No hooking up in the locker room. Uh, again. And definitely not with Kaplan and Simms here.

Even if I’m getting along with them better, I don’t trust them not to run their mouths if they saw anything.

Good thing they’re in here with us then.

But that’s the problem. As soon as Kole and I both strip down and join the showers, they’re finishing theirs.

I’m not going to look.

I’m definitely not going to turn my head and check out his round ass.

I’m not doing it. Nope.

Damn, that’s a biteable ass.

Shit, I need to hurry up and get all the sweat off me so I can get out of here and put clothes on. No, I need Kole to hurry up and put clothes on. He’s taking his sweet-ass time though.

I rush through my shower and dressing. I move so fast, I’m still damp, but I even beat Simms and Kaplan to getting fully dressed.

And while I sit on the bench by my cubby, doubt tries to creep in. I could say I want to go to Kole’s because I really need to study—which is true. I really, really need to study. But the truth is, I’m going over there for the sex.

I should leave Kole to do what he needs to. I should not be selfish for once in my life.

Kole enters the locker room with a towel slung low around his hips with drops of water running down his chest. He knew what he was offering with that invite, and he knows what he’s doing right now.

Oh, I am so going to be selfish.

Simms throws his bag over his shoulder and faces me. “Are you coming? We’re going to the dining hall for lunch.”

I wave him off. “I’m good. I need to get home to my siblings.”

When Simms and Kaplan leave, I can’t help myself. I stand and make my way over to Kole until I’ve boxed him in against the cubby.

“If you need to get home, we could—”

“I lied,” I say. “West is with the kids.”

The smile that spreads across Kole’s face is breathtaking. No, not breathtaking. It’s hot. Sexy. Something not so … mushy. It makes me want to kiss it off his gorgeous face. No.

Fuck.

“I’ll get dressed and then resurface the ice.”

“I can do it.”

“Dad will kill us.”

I can’t resist. My hand goes to his hip, and I lean in, putting my lips near his ear. “We’re already doing things that could get us killed by that man.”

Kole shivers and drops his head forward.

I get the feeling he’s trying to hold back as much as I am.

He shoves me off him. “You need patience.”

“Or a way to get to your house faster.” I step away, backing up toward the door. “And I know exactly how.”

“Asher,” he warns and tries to pull up his jeans.

I turn on my heel and hightail it out of the locker room. I rush out to the ice and open the doors to the storage area where the Zamboni is. I jump in the seat and turn it on with the key that’s been left in it.

The Zamboni purrs to life, and I shove it in gear, but no sooner have I gotten it out onto the ice than Kole jumps up onto the footstep next to me. “Get off.”
