“And it’s really bothering me, Casey,” I continue, advancing until I’m standing right in front of her and there’s barely two inches between us. I need to know if she’s immune to me, it hasn’t happened too often—but it has happened. I find that I definitely don’t want it to happen with Casey.

“You are insane. Is this something new? Or were you like this all those years ago, and I didn’t realize it?” she laughs, but she’s not fooling me. She takes a step back and maybe she would have taken more but she’s against the wall now. Her pupils are large, and she’s nibbling on the side of her lip again. I’m bothering her, and I can see a nipple pebbled against her shirt. I’m bothering her in all the best ways.

“I’m being serious. You’re going to haunt me now until I get an answer.”

“What answer is that?” she asks, and I don’t think it’s my imagination when her breath hitches in her throat. I lean in close, holding my hands on the wall above her head, pinning her in. I resist pushing my body against hers—barely.

“I need to know what color those nipples of yours are,” I tell her in a whisper, my eyes zeroed in on her mouth.

“God! I can’t believe that man!” Gloria storms in slamming the door. I hold my head down. I really hate that woman. I hated her for what she did to my buddy Aden and now I could willingly choke the life out of her. If she had waited another five minutes to show up, I would have had Casey’s mouth. Instead she ducks under my arm and walks toward Gloria.

“Are you ready for your makeup?” Casey asks, and as annoyed as I am, I still smile when I hear the breathless quality in her voice.

I look down to see how noticeable the cock-stand in my pants is. It feels like the zipper of my jeans is cutting into my flesh. There’s not much I can do about it, besides it looks like I’m a well-endowed man—which hey, I am. It doesn’t scream, “My balls are about to explode.” Which hey—they are.

“Good Lord. Who let you in here?” Gloria says, when I slowly turn around. One look at her and my hard-on begins to ease. God, she really is a rich bitch.

“Aren’t you starring in the movie?” Casey asks, confused. I turn to look at her surprised. It’s weird. My hand drifts up to touch the rather large scar that runs from my temple down to my chin, because she clearly thinks I’m part of the main cast.

“Starring? My word, Gavin, what lies have you been feeding the poor girl?”

“Gloria, sweet as ever, I see. I told Aden he was insane to get you this job.”

“That’s rich coming from you. I bet he’s the one that got you hired too,” she says, her face going into a smile that looks wrong on her face—wrong and hideously cold.

“Yeah well, at least I didn’t have to suck his dick to get the job—or the dick of the director,” I return.

“You bastard!” she screeches.

“See you later, Casey,” I say giving her a wink, and leaving an irate Gloria fuming behind me. It’s not a kiss, but pissing Gloria off is its own kind of pleasure.

Besides, I’ll find Casey again soon…and when I do…

“Hey!” Gavin yells, as I run into him. We’re standing outside of the local Starbucks, Gavin coming out of it, and me going inside. This time when we collide things are different. I don’t have a drink pressed to my chest—thank God, but the most noticeable one is that it’s not Gavin’s fault this time. This one is all on me.

He reaches over and steadies me by holding my arms.

“Sorry,” I mumble. “I was in a hurry.”

“We have got to stop running into each other like this,” he laughs. “Are you okay?”

“Yeah, I’m just in a hurry. I’ll see you later, Gavin,” I tell him, pulling away and walking around him. I’m totally lying. I probably won’t see him again. It’s been almost a week since he had me pinned up against the wall and Gloria came in and interrupted us. I have never been so glad—or sad—to see someone in my life. If she hadn’t come in when she did, I probably would have done something stupid. Like kiss Gavin O’Leary.

“Hey! Don’t run off. I’ve been looking for you. You’ve been hiding,” he says, following me in the store.

“I’ve not been that hard to find,” I laugh, but the laugh is fake. Thankfully he doesn’t know me, not really. I doubt he can tell the difference.

“Not true. You’re gone every evening when I get off work and I never see you in the mornings. I was starting to think you quit after all, but Aden tells me you’re still doing his makeup. It’s starting to feel like you’re avoiding me.”
