It’d made sense in the moment but looking back I realized my missteps. Just because I had issues with being clean didn’t mean he did. His childhood hadn’t been quite as fucked up as mine.
The quietest whisper had me listening closely. “You were taking good care of me. I appreciate that.”
Well, at least he hadn’t thought I was turned off by it.
“And…and I knew what you were thinking even though my brain wasn’t really working.” He paused when I laughed. “Yeah, you noticed that.”
“Yes, but not nearly fast enough. I thought your head would clear fairly quickly but that wasn’t right at all.” My thoughts had been logical and about Ender, but I needed to stop making assumptions…or stop doing something.
“Because that’s usually what happens.” Ender shrugged but didn’t move away from me. “I’m slightly foggy when I get up and then I actually wake up.”
Okay, he had a point.
“But in the future, we’ll know to take that fuzzy brain a bit more seriously and transition slower.” Whatever he heard in my voice or words had him turning his head to press a kiss against my thigh.
As I chuckled, he gave me the cutest frown. “You’re being mean to my Handler. I don’t like that. He’s doing great.”
He was so cute.
“I’m not being mean. I just have high standards for him that he’s not living up to yet.” Like not fucking up with the aftercare.
“He was wonderful.” Ender was starting to sound stubborn again. “He did a great job with the scene and he helped me to get in the right headspace and he played with me and he stayed close and took care of me after the main part of the scene was over. So be nice to him.”
Barely holding back a scoff, I shook my head. “I will concede to him succeeding at some points of the scene, such as playtime, but the aftercare…”
Ender snorted and the sound got another laugh out of me. “He got me clean and cuddled me and made sure my muscles weren’t too tight. He did great.”
Since it seemed like the conversation had turned into a hill he was willing to die on, I leaned over and kissed his head. “How about I agree with you with the caveat that the timeline should’ve been adjusted to delay the shower? I don’t think you minded being covered in cum nearly as much as I would have.”
I hadn’t mentioned the kink part but he sighed anyway. “Leif…”
His whine made me smile, but I managed not to laugh. “I didn’t ask about kinks and only vaguely mentioned marking you. I think I was very polite about the whole thing.”
That really didn’t help but fucking with him was fun, so it made me feel better.
“You’re so mean.” His dramatic huff got him a slightly awkward hug because of our positions but it didn’t chase me away from the topic.
“No, mean would’ve been completely ignoring it and not doing it again. I think you’d be very sad if it’d worked out that way.” The adorable groan I got said I was on the right track. “Evil would be pushing you to go into detail about how wicked it made you feel or maybe how owned it made you feel.”
The overly logical part of me who liked to pick things apart really wanted to go into detail, but it wasn’t the right way to approach Ender about it. “But I’m just trying to understand the basics to improve scenes going forward. It could be worse.”
Short huff.
Steady breath.
“Maybe.”
And I’d won.
But I would appreciate it gracefully. “Thank you.”
Kissing his head again, I ran my hands further down his back and tried to give him a little reward for being good. “So what can you tell me? What wouldn’t be too hard to share?”
He whined like a three-year-old getting ready to throw themselves on the floor in the toy section of Walmart. “Leif…”
“It could be worse.” That was going to be one of the important responses I kept at the ready at all times going forward.
And since he couldn’t argue with it, he sighed. “Fine.”
Acquiescing didn’t mean he was going to go fast, though.
So I waited and snuggled and stroked and kissed and he finally let out a deep breath. “I liked the presenting part. The word and the order, but I’m not going to define it or talk about the specifics.”
“Deal.” I’d take what I could get.
My immediate agreement had him let out a long sigh of relief.
“Good. Yes, good.” That seemed to help him reset his brain because the rest wasn’t nearly as hard for him to get out. “I liked the marking thing and the way you handled that part of the scene. I don’t have a stickiness issue so…so leaving me in that state would not have been a problem.”
