“Thank you,” I told him sincerely. I lowered the flowers and lifted up on my toes, pressing a sweet kiss against his lips. I captured the moment in my head, never wanting to forget this day and how I felt. Things were certainly different than how I imagined them to be at my graduation. I didn’t expect to be pregnant with a billionaire’s baby, but things still worked out for the best. I wouldn’t change a thing.
Tyler cupped the back of my head gently, holding me close as our lips pressed and moved. It wasn’t a hungry, chaotic kiss. It was sweet, patient. All of our love was in that kiss. When we pulled away, he rested his forehead against mine for a moment.
“We’re celebrating tonight,” he told me with an excited smile.
“What did you do?” I laughed, figuring that he had planned something extravagant. He was intent on spoiling me. He had plenty of money to do so, but I definitely wasn’t used to being spoiled to this level. It would take some getting used to.
“Made a reservation at a very expensive restaurant,” Tyler said, looking pleased. “Then, we can do whatever you want for the rest of the night.”
I thought for a second, wanting to do something fun with him. I wanted to make as many memories as possible tonight. I couldn’t drink, so we couldn’t go to a club or anything. I thought of something even better, though.
“What about midnight bowling? You’ve been bowling, right?” I asked him.
Tyler gave me a pointed look. “Of course, I’ve been bowling,” he said.
“It just doesn’t seem like a rich person thing to do,” I laughed with a shrug.
“I wasn’t always a billionaire, and I know how to have fun. Let’s do it,” Tyler replied with a determined nod.
“That’s the spirit,” I said, giving his arm a squeeze. I was even more excited for today. Before I could say anything else, a familiar flash of strawberry blonde hair caught my eye. The next second, a body crashed against mine.
“We did it!” Hannah cried out excitedly as she flung her arms around me, hugging me tightly.
I laughed as I embraced her back. When we broke apart, I hugged Nick, congratulating him as well. We all worked hard to get to this point, and it was unreal getting to see us all in our gowns. It seemed like we were freshmen without a clue of what to do yesterday. Now, we were graduates with somewhat of a clue. That was progress.
“Guys, this is Tyler. Tyler, this is Hannah and Nick,” I introduced them. They were the people that I was closest to, and it was important to me for them to know each other and get along. Without all of them, I wouldn’t be where I was today, and I definitely wouldn’t be as happy as I was now.
“We’ve heard plenty about you,” Nick smirked lightly as he reached out to shake Tyler’s hand.
“Ignore him. He’s just protective,” Hannah said before swatting Nick away. She shook Tyler’s hand with a sweet smile on her face. “Thank you for making this one happy finally. We were starting to worry about her.”
Tyler smiled at them politely as I shook my head at them.
“You have nothing to worry about. I’ll take care of her,” he assured them as he placed his arm around me, pulling me close to his side. “You all came up with a great business idea. I’m excited to see you bring it to life.”
“You really think it’s good?” Hannah asked him with a hopeful look on his face.
Tyler chuckled and nodded. “It’s truly great. I can see it being a big success,” he told her before looking at me. “Our kid is going to have a very smart, successful mother to look up to.”
“Kid?” Nick asked, looking between us.
My eyes widened as I looked at Hannah and Nick, who looked shocked. I completely forgot that I hadn’t told them about my pregnancy yet.
“Surprise?” I said with a sheepish smile. At least they knew now.
“You’re pregnant?” Hannah gasped out as she reached out to take my hands. She looked down at my stomach before looking at Tyler with wide eyes. “And you’re the dad! Oh my God!”
“I was going to tell you after everything died down,” I told her as I gave Hannah’s hands a squeeze. I looked at Nick. “You guys can be like the aunt and uncle.”
Nick smirked, shaking his head at me. “I’ll be the cool uncle,” he told me. “Congrats to you guys.”
“I can be the godmother, right?” Hannah asked as she pulled me into another tight hug.
“Of course,” I laughed softly, feeling warmed by how happy they were for us. Their support meant the world to me, and I was so happy that our baby was going to enter the world already loved by many. “You can help me plan a baby shower.”
