“I love it. Okay? There. I love it. I love when you come in here, chase me around, pin me down, and fuck me brainless. Can you please get me off now?”
My husband is a very fair man. Give him what he asks for, and he gives even more in return. He pummels my pussy, sucks my nipples, and I come like my brain’s on fire.
Which only leads to more sex. He turns me around and fucks me from behind, spanking my ass raw as promised, his shaft taking me deep as he shoves his fingers in my mouth. I come two more times before he finally finishes deep between my legs with the sexiest growl I’ve ever heard.
We end up tangled in bed together. His fingers trace lines down my back and I breathe the smell of him, musky and perfect.
“Have you given more thought to moving back to London?” I ask him.
“Adler wants us to wait.”
“That was before, right? I mean, things are different now.”
“That’s true.”
“If you pushed, he’d let us.”
“Is that something you want?”
“I don’t know.” I kiss his bare chest and lick a nipple. He grunts at the sensation. “I’ve thought about it. You want to be closer to your work, right? I really like it here, and I’m getting super close with Casey, but my family’s over there.”
“You miss them.”
Not a question. He doesn’t need to ask. I rarely talk about Rian and the others, but they’re never far from my mind, and he knows me well enough to see it.
“I’m thinking about a family with you,” I say softly, nerves jangling in my stomach. “That’s something you want, right?”
“Absolutely yes.”
“Well, we could raise a baby here, but I’d want my kid to be at least a little Irish.”
“Which means trips to see the clan.” He doesn’t sound happy about it, but he doesn’t sound like it’s out of the question, either.
“We could live in London. That’s a lot closer to Dublin than Atlantic City is.”
“Not a bad compromise,” he murmurs. “What’s making you think of this now?”
“Well, you were complaining about work, and—” I pause, chewing my lip. I’m suddenly so nervous I can barely speak.
I’ve been debating this moment in my head all day. Not whether I’d tell him—of course I’m telling but—but how I’d do it. I’m not sure how he’ll react, since we haven’t talked a whole ton about our future beyond what we’re having for dinner and how he’s going to fuck me into sweet oblivion.
But it’s time to figure things out.
“What’s wrong?” He shifts so he can look into my eyes.
“I have to show you something.” I gently disentangle myself from him, even though I crave his warmth more than anything.
He says nothing as I head into the bathroom. There’s another reason I led him up here during our little play chase. In the cabinet, wrapped in toilet paper, is a little plastic stick. I grab it and carry it out to the bed. He sits up, head tilted to the side.
“I took this earlier.”
He stares and says nothing as I unwrap the pregnancy test.
“That’s positive,” he says, still staring.
“Yep. Which is no surprise, considering how often we have sex and neither of us bother with contraception.”
“You’re pregnant.” Still no emotion, and fear begins to fill my stomach.
“I’m pregnant,” I confirm. “Is this too soon? I just found out earlier and I was trying to figure out how to tell you—”
“You’re pregnant,” he says again and his entire face lights up as he gets out of bed. “You’re pregnant with my child.”
“Uh, yes, that’s how it works.”
“Wife, my bliss, my heaven, my little fox, my baby, you are having my child!” He grabs me in his arms and lifts me up, my enormous, very naked husband, and hugs me so hard I think he might break my ribs.
“I’m happy you’re happy,” I croak, grinning. “But you’re smothering me.”
His grip loosens enough so I can breathe, but he doesn’t let me go. He’s laughing and dancing around and pulling me along with him—freaking Jayson Costa giddy with joy—and my heart swells a thousand sizes too big.
I hoped for a happy reaction but this is a little much.
“I am beyond happy. This is the best news I’ve ever gotten in my life. You are perfect, my wife, and I am going to pamper you and take care of you forever.”
“You can start by putting me down.”
He grunts and places me gently onto the bed then drops to his knees. He takes my hands and presses his face to my belly. I laugh, cradling his head.
“I can’t wait to hear our baby kick and move around in there,” he whispers, closing his eyes. “I’m going to stay right here, just like this, for the next nine months.”
“God, I hope not. It’ll make showering really hard.”
