“What are you grinning at?” Davin sat up then dragged her back over to his side, tucking her close once more as he rearranged the blanket to ensure she was covered with the blanket.

“Just imagining the two of you in school and figured it was nothing but trouble.”

Tavin clicked on the television and put on SportsCenter as he laughed. Davin joined.

“We may have caused a ruckus or two.” Davin placed her hand over his abs and covered hers with his own, holding her there.

“I’m quite sure it was more than that. Trouble with the teachers and oh I can’t even imagine how you were with the girls. Charming them all out of their clothing.”

They shared a glance, and she knew she was spot on with that assessment. They regaled her with tales and soon, they were drinking beer with chips and dip between them, playing games and talking.

When she stirred later, she found she was still on the couch and Davin remained below her. This time, his hands were beneath the shirt of his she wore and cupping her bare ass as he slept. Blinking a few times, she inched off him slowly, shushing him when he muttered and tightening his grip. Padding to the bathroom, she relieved her screaming bladder and stared at her reflection in the soft light as she washed her hands.

She’d had an amazing time with Davin and even when Tavin had come home. The love they had for one another was obvious and while part of her wished she could have had that with Hank, she wasn’t jealous. Her family was Renny, Sugar, and Cindy. She got that love with them.

Hurrying through the house to Davin’s room, she changed and as she zipped up the leather jacket, she paused to look at the door. Tavin stood there his gray sweats riding low on his hips.

Holy hell, it wasn’t fair how hot these men were. Not an ounce of fat on this one and his muscles were definitely in view. He was a work of art, yet she had no problem, skimming up his body to meet his gaze.

“Running?”

Once the jacket was fully up she released the tab and moved toward him, typing out a message on her phone.

“Going to work.”

Tavin didn’t move back, instead he held out his hand and after a moment, she placed her phone there. She remained silent as he inputted his number in her contact list.

“You ever need anything and you can’t reach him, you call me. Okay?”

“Careful Sergeant, I’m that close to hugging you.”

He took the decision from her. She held him tight as he kissed her on the cheek. “Thank you for giving me back my brother.”

Cryptic words she would have to think about later.

He stood back and smiled at her. “I’ll walk you out.”

Davin was still out on the couch when she went by. She stopped to tug the blanket up over him and brushed his lips lightly.

“Neha,” he moaned.

God I want to stay with him.

Picking up her helmet, Tavin watched her as she shoved her hair under it and fastened it. He stepped out with her and closed the door behind them as she pulled on the gloves. Tavin tapped the protective shield and moved it up seconds later.

“Be safe, little sister.”

She smiled up at him, not sure he could see it because of the helmet but sure it was reflected in her eyes. “Thank you, big brother.” She squeezed his arm and hurried to her bike. Shield down, she straddled the bike and started it. A final wave over her shoulder and she raced away, heading to a different section of King’s Bay.

Davin’s throat dried up as he spied Neha in the exchange. She walked alone as she put a few things in a basket. Her uniform made his uncomfortably tight and he fought the urge to readjust himself right here.

He put some deodorant in his cart and bit back a low growl when another man approached her. It didn’t take a genius to read her body language. She didn’t much care for this man to be so close to her.

Forcing himself to stay put, he continued moving up the aisle, so he appeared to be shopping when in fact, all his focus was on his woman and the man who spoke to her. He didn’t know who it was for he wasn’t in uniform. They went their separate ways a short time later and he breathed a bit easier.

The second time he saw her, and the urge to approach here was even stronger this time, he watched as a Master Chief walked up to her. Again there was that same stiffening but if someone didn’t know what to look for it would be easy to overlook. And he took great pride in being able to read his woman. So he knew the truth and the looks.
