“That’s it, baby,” he grunts with each punch of his hips and then I explode. It’s his name that falls out of my mouth along with gibberish, which I hope he understands translates into this feels really fucking good.

Before my orgasm can even work halfway up my spine, Camden straightens and puts both of his hands on my hips. If I thought he was fucking me hard before, I was wrong. He pounds into me mercilessly, which either knocks loose another mini orgasm or extends the second one. My arms shake with the effort to hold myself up while Camden uses my body in a way it’s never been used before.

Not cheaply. Not without care. But with an intense focus and pure determination that turns me on.

“You feel so fucking good, Dani. So fucking good.”

Camden continues to drive into me. The pleasure is so intense I feel like I’m on the verge of blacking out and then my arms give way. Flopping onto the mattress, I’m an absolute puddle… unable to move.

In no way deterred and still giving me the pounding I demanded, Camden fucks me harder and harder by merely lifting my hips enough to give him leverage. The sound of slapping skin and his muttered curses are music to my ears, a testament to his desire for me.

“I’m going to come,” he warns in staccato breaths.

But I don’t want him to come. I want him to keep going on and on because I feel so completely dominated and cherished at the same time.

Camden slams in but he doesn’t pull out again. He rotates his hips and grinds against me, his entire body falling onto mine as he shudders out his release. “Goddamn, that’s good.”

His sweat-soaked skin is plastered to mine and his hips continue to roll against me, sucking out every bit of pleasure.

Lifting onto his elbows so he doesn’t crush me, Camden brushes his mouth over the back of my head. It takes a while for his breathing to regulate and then he presses a kiss between my shoulder blades as he slowly slides free.

I mourn the loss of fullness inside me but then my gut pitches when Camden utters a strangled curse. “Shit.”

My head whips around and I look at him over my shoulder. He’s staring down at his dick, the look on his face one of pure horror.

I scramble around and face him, fear suffocating me. I see what he sees. The condom has a long tear in it down the length of his dick. The end is still intact, filled with his semen, but we both see the milky white substance on the skin where it’s torn.

“Damn it,” Camden mutters, his gaze lifting to mine. “Tell me you’re on birth control.”

“I am. My periods are irregular, so I’ve been on it ever since I had Travis.”

Camden falls back onto the bed with a dramatic sigh. “Thank fuck.”

I settle onto my hip, my hand pressed down into the mattress near his shoulder. Hovering over him, I tease, “Gave you a little heart attack, didn’t it?”

Camden doesn’t laugh or smile. He runs a hand over his face, his eyes staring fixedly at the ceiling.

“Are you mad?” I ask him tentatively.

His eyes snap to mine and he leans up on an elbow so we’re face-to-face. “I’m mad at myself. I’ve never lost control like that. That was really rough, Danica. I broke the fucking condom. Did I hurt you?”

I shake my head hard, my hand on his cheek. “No. Not at all. I loved every bit of it, Camden, and I want you to do that to me again. It was amazing.”

Camden heaves a sigh of relief, letting his forehead drop to mine. “Really?”

“So amazing,” I reiterate. “You can fuck me senseless anytime.”

Lifting his head, he smiles tenderly and brushes my hair off my face. “If you say so.”

“I do.” I give him a push to his chest. “Now… put some food in me so I can get back to work.”

Camden doesn’t budge, his expression turning serious again. “I’m safe.”

My brow furrows in confusion. “Safe?”

“I’ve always worn a condom when I’ve been with another woman. I’ve been tested for STDs at every yearly physical. You know… the condom tore, so I didn’t want you to worry.”

Odd… I wasn’t worried. “I appreciate you saying that. You know I’m safe too, right? I mean… there was only Mitch.”

“I figured,” he says, leaning down to brush his mouth across mine before pulling me from the bed. “Come on… let’s get you fed.”

CHAPTER 19

Camden

There have been countless studies on the psychology of professional athletes. What is that extra “something” they have that propels them to elite status?

Sure, you must have talent, which needs to be developed, and you must have strength, which comes with hard work. But those two things alone, even if mastered, will never ensure your success.
