I give him a kiss on the forehead, turn on his stars nightlight, and step out into the hall, leaving the door slightly cracked.
I feel like the luckiest man on earth as I walk down the hallway to the bedroom I share with my wife. I can hear the shower going as I push open the door. I see she has her nighttime clothes laid out on the bed—a pair of small blue and white striped shorts and a white crop-top. It’s actually a sexy little outfit, but not as sexy as what she’s about to emerge from the bathroom in.
Grinning, I take a position next to the bathroom door with my back to the wall where she won’t see me. Moments later, I hear the shower turn off, followed by the sound of the curtain being pulled back and Sadie’s little feet against the tile floor.
She’s just taking a quick shower after coming back from checking in on a few things at the restaurant, so she should be out here any second. I brace myself, and as the door opens, I make a loud growling noise and sweep her into my arms.
Sadie tries to scream, but I cover her mouth with my hand. “Shhh, your son is sleeping.”
Her scream turns into a giggle, and the towel that’s wrapped around her falls to the floor, leaving her naked as I carry her over to the bed and lay her down beneath me.
I look at her glorious curves as I stand over her, feeling myself grow instantly hard and think, Yeah. I’m one lucky son of a bitch.
My heart swells with love at the same time as my manhood swells with blood and lust. It’s so incredible how I went from being a man who thought I would never love again to being so full of love I wonder if one day I may just burst from it.
She gave me a new life. She gave me a child and a family. She gave me everything.
She healed me. We healed each other. What a miracle of a relationship.
I strip out of my clothes and join her on the bed. I wrap her in my arms and take her lips with mine. We may own a house together, but these lips and this body—this is my true home.
I slide inside her and begin thrusting. Our sex life is unbelievable and hasn’t slowed at all since we got married or since Sadie had Jeremy. In fact, it’s only gotten better. I feel bad for those married couples who complain about having to schedule a night to have sex or having to do things to spice up their sex life. That’s not us at all.
I think back to Paul and Rachel sometimes and how bored they must have to be to invite a guy like me into the bedroom to keep things exciting. Nothing about Sadie could ever bore me.
We simply can’t keep our hands off each other. I’ve had to cancel nights out with the guys because I was all ready to go and then I turned around and saw Sadie standing there in a fresh new set of lingerie she’d just recently purchased. I was instantly all boned up and knew I wouldn’t be going anywhere but to the bedroom or the couch.
And now that we are part-owners of the restaurant, we’ve made sure to christen it as well, not just our new house.
“You fought for me,” Sadie whispers.
“What, baby?”
She strokes my jaw and looks up at me as I go deep inside her.
“You fought for me,” she repeats. “A lot of men would have given up on me when they found out about…my rule.”
I smile. My chest goes warm with all the love I feel for her.
“Never,” I reply. “I could never. I love you too much, Sadie. Or should I say, Mrs. Masters.”
Sadie’s eyes brighten. “I love it when you call me that.”
“I know you do.” I grin. “And I love that you’re my wife. And that you’re mine and no one else’s.”
“No one else’s.” she nods. “Forever. And that’s our rule.”
“I like that rule,” I say, kissing her gently.
“And so do I.”
