“You don’t know.” Dallas shook his head and turned fully to Greer. The unrest lacing each of his three words spoke to the honest worry Dallas had and to the ache in the small piece of Greer’s heart still left in his chest. The only thing he could do was try and reassure Dallas and put himself in the closet with his trainer—a place he’d never been before.
“Then we’ll keep it a secret. I got it. But remember, straight guys hang out together all the time. Just because we’re together doesn’t mean we’re fucking each other.”
Dallas stared at him a moment before speaking. “I guess you’re right.” Those words didn’t come out convincing nor did the slight nod Dallas gave as he reached for the door handle. Greer’s hand tightened around Dallas’s, keeping him from leaving the protection of the small sanctuary they shared. He didn’t want to let Dallas go, not like this. The sweet man would beat himself up too badly for succumbing to his own needs.
“The windows are darkened. We’re away from prying eyes. Kiss me.”
Dallas turned back and started to shake his head no. There was so much turmoil reflected at him. Greer melted under its weight and wanted nothing more than to ease this man’s burden. He just wasn’t sure how. He reached for Dallas, his free hand cupping the side of his neck, his thumb caressing across that strong set jaw. All the want and desire that had brought and held them together charged the air, the currents zapping any restraint Greer clung to.
Dallas surprised him by meeting Greer halfway, his mouth opening without prompting. Dallas smiled seconds before he made contact. His guy needed Greer like Greer needed him. They would overcome their obstacles. Greer would commit himself to making sure they did.
He slid his tongue forward as their mouths meshed. Dallas’s lips were soft and pliant, and he tasted of everything Greer needed. He’d willingly do anything to make sure this man stayed in his life. The kiss heated to combustible in seconds flat, tethering him and Dallas together. It conveyed all the hope and meaning of the new beginnings for something long-lasting; something he never realized he wanted. Dating, marriage, children, and growing old together—those moments played like snapshots through Greer’s mind. He wanted it all with Dallas and would eagerly shoulder this man’s burdens until the end of time.
The anticipation of making his dreams come true had Greer deepening the kiss, drawing him closer, but Dallas put a hand on his chest, pushing backward, breaking free. Dallas took deep ragged breaths. Greer refused to let him get too far away, clamping his hand on Dallas’s strong bicep to keep him close. Every time they came together, the desperate emotions ran rampant. It was all too much. Dallas relented, resting his forehead against Greer’s lips. The hand at his chest fisted tightly into his T-shirt. It helped to know Dallas felt the power between them and wanted to be as close as Greer.
“This was supposed to be a one-time thing,” Dallas whispered, the puff of his breath warming his chest.
“Yeah right. Who told you that?” Greer grinned, pressing his lips against Dallas’s forehead. He aimed for levity, determined to lighten the mood in the car. “How’s your ass? I want you to think about me when you’re on the bike.”
Dallas looked up, staying close. His smile was instant. Humor finally erased that solemn expression. “Don’t say it.”
“But I did kick your ass a couple of different ways yesterday.” That made Dallas bark out a laugh. Greer finally let go of his hand and leaned in again to press a chaste kiss against Dallas’s lips. “Don’t overthink this. Go do your class then come over. I can see where it’s better for you to drive yourself, even though I really want to be the one driving you back and forth.”
Dallas started to pull away. “I’ll be there in a couple of hours.”
“I’ll stretch myself,” Greer added for a naughty effect, hoping the mental visual ensured Dallas’s hurried return.
His guy chuckled and reached for the door handle but stopped short of leaving the car. His serious side commanded this time as he glanced over his shoulder. “Don’t. I want to.” Dallas’s simple words had effectively turned the tables on Greer, making his toes curl. His dick thickened, pushing against his zipper.
“You and I could have something, Dallas. Same page.” Greer truly believed his words. Dallas leaned toward Greer who bent for another sweetly given kiss.
“Same page, then. I’m glad you were my first. I really enjoyed our time together.”
“Me too. Now, go before I bend over and take care of that.” They both looked down to see Dallas’s cock at half mast, tenting his joggers.
Dallas quickly adjusted himself and chuckled. “Since I let him go, I’m not sure I’ll ever get the control back.” He squared his shoulders, pushing open the door. When his guy looked at Greer, the masks were all back in place. Passive, as if Dallas didn’t have a care in the world.
