Good to know, since not all women liked tattoos and the ones that didn’t were pretty damn vocal about it. Not that he cared about their opinion, since he didn’t get them for anyone else but himself.

He sucked in his gut when she planted her hand there. She once again worked her way—kissing, nipping and licking—from his waist, up his chest and ended with pressing her lips against his throat.

He growled in frustration from not being able to talk. He was at his breaking point. “Thought you wanted me naked.”

“You’re halfway there. Are you impatient?”

“My cock is rock hard and uncomfortable to the point of pain. I’m not sure how much more I can take.”

“Oh, I didn’t know you were suffering. I’ll stop, then.”

He growled again, causing her husky laughter to vibrate against his throat.

He grabbed her ponytail and pulled her head back so he could stare down into her face. He noticed her blue eyes crinkled at the corners. “Glad you find that amusing.”

Pulling away from her, he took a few steps back, hooked his thumbs in his jeans to quickly shuck out of them and his boxer briefs. His erection sprung free.

“I would’ve gotten to it,” she murmured, her gaze raking over him head to toe.

He hoped she approved. “When I’m dead?”

“Wow. Men can be such drama queens.”

“When it comes to sex, yes. We need it as much as oxygen.”

She tipped her head to the side as her lips curled upward. “I know. I’m a stripper, remember? There’s a reason why sex sells.”

He fisted his cock. “Hard to forget.”

Her eyes followed the movement of his hand when he slowly stroked himself with every step as he stalked toward her.

She stood her ground and waited for him. When he reached her, he grabbed the robe’s belt and tugged it loose.

When she reached up to push it off her shoulders, a sharp, “No,” burst from him. It was better than slapping her hand away. “Let me.”

With a sly grin, she shrugged and dropped her hands to her sides.

He took his time sliding the silky fabric off her shoulders and when the robe fell in a whisper to her feet, he again took a few steps back. “Gorgeous.”

“Nothing you didn’t see earlier.”

“I’ll take you naked and standing in front of me in private versus you close to naked performing for others any damn day, Phire. And what I said stands. You are absolutely fucking gorgeous.”

Chapter Seven

You are absolutely fucking gorgeous.

“So are you,” she whispered, taking in all of his hot sexiness while he did the same to her.

His body was insanely amazing and twisted her inside out. She worked long hours, and during those long hours she dealt with a lot of men. Rarely, so damn rarely, did she ever see anyone in the club as appealing as Rez.

He could’ve been sculpted from an artist’s hands.

No doubt he’d worked long and hard on his physique. No one got that way by sitting on the couch and playing video games every night while snacking. No, this man hit the gym and hit it often. Most likely to stay in shape for his job, but damn… she was enjoying the benefits, too.

Heat flickered in his dark eyes. She imagined hers looked the same.

They were wasting time and since her energy was quickly waning, she decided to get this party started by climbing onto the bed and settling in the center. She extended a hand. “Are you coming?”

“Plan on it. Plan on making you come, too.” The pure want and need on his face sent a spike of excitement through her and landed in her pussy.

Before joining her, he snagged his jeans from the floor and pulled out his wallet. A condom appeared within his fingers.

“I have some, you know,” she announced. “A whole box, actually.”

“An unopened box?”

“Does it matter?”

It actually was brand new. Since she rarely brought anyone home with her, the previous box stored in her nightstand drawer had expired. And if she found herself getting lucky, like she was tonight, she didn’t want to risk using them.

But condoms weren’t the only precaution she took. She’d been on the pill ever since she turned eighteen. Babies weren’t on her agenda then and they still weren’t now. If she ever found the right partner, she would consider it, but not until then. And so far, she hadn’t found any man she’d want to be tied to for the rest of her life.

Because of that, she couldn’t judge Rez for being in his thirties and still single. She would be a hypocrite if she did.

Some have called her selfish for not rushing to have kids, but she considered it smart. If and when she became a parent, she wanted to be the best possible mother she could be. One like her own, a woman she looked up to as a great role model.
